Anarcho-commie writer, artist, and librarian on a journey to decapitalize and decolonize her creative work. Fiction, essays, zines, art, and
In case y'all didn't hear, my debut novella, THE WORLD AS IT SHOULD BE, is officially... out-of-print. :| I decided not to pursue renewing my contract with Mocha Memoirs Press, even though I had a nice experience with them (and I still encourage indie writers to check 'em out when you're ready to start querying your work because they're doing lots of hard work to highlight marginalized writers!)
I just... don't want to sell my writing anymore. Capitalism truly ruins everything, including my creative pursuits, and it turns out I find more joy in writing when I don't feel pressured to monetize it.
HOWEVER, if you didn't get a chance to read TWAISB, don't fret! I'm in the process of uploading it serially to my Substack for freeeeee! So if you like Salem, witches, magic, monsters, ghosts, and antifascism, check it out! (Trigger warning for gore and suicidal ideation tho.) **I ALSO have about 20 extra PHYSICAL copies of the book that I intend to give away for free, so if you want one, lemme know and I'll find a way to get it to ya.
On Substack, I'm up to... chapter 8 I think? 9? They're all auto-scheduled to post once a day until it's done. There are 23 chapters total, and I even wrote a new little preface/dedication before I posted chapter 1 (though I encourage you to read that *after* finishing the book, because there are massive spoilers).
And YES I have a sequel outlined! Just gotta get back on the fiction-writing horse after a couple years of rest.
I also occasionally post nonfiction stuff about revolutionary lit, anarcho-communist theory, and librarianship over on Substack, and am working (still) on my big Anarcho-Commie Le Guin reread/essay marathon. So please subscribe! And feel free to leave comments! I have zero intention of ever charging a subscription price.
