Writer's Block is actually the name of my special move. Yes I'm a tank build and yes now you're doing half damage against me. Yeah it affects all your attacks. I'm not sorry.
Our Own Sunsets has been a bear to write, and I just don't want to force it out because it's just a really personal and important book to me. It's sitting at about 85% done (still mostly unedited) but connecting everything up is just tough.
SO INSTEAD I'M BEGINNING BOOK 3 OF TWaC, THE SEQUEL TO THESE OTHER COASTS!!
this one's gonna be a huge shift in setting and tone. i hope you're ready for a fun ride.
Currently reading the 1st book. Just finished ch8... is there magic here. Did Aleksy just do magic. He summoned rain :O
maybeeeee.........
“This is my sworn sword, Kwarti of the Shio. She is a valiant warrior and a great knight,” Rachel said in Bysench, feminizing the noun for ‘knight’, as in Bycés, only men could hold the title. She had rehearsed the line. -These Other Coasts Ch. 9
Queen Rachel and her sworn squire Kwarti

Status update :)
Hey yall, I just thought I'd give a little bit of an update as things have been quiet on my end.
I'm back home in lovely Long Beach now after a bit of a chaotic month handling the passing of my grandfather. It was very abrupt and there was a great deal of business to wrap up.
Personal stuff aside, being in Florida renewed my vigor in working on Our Own Sunsets (working title). Expect it to be complete within a the first half of the year. It's something completely different, and seeks to answer questions like "What can a family look like?", "Is growing up in Florida really that bad?", and "How did anybody survive 2016?"
But I know the fans here on Tumblr are here for the fantasy stuff! I'm excited to announce that an audiobook version of both The Backwater and These Other Coasts is coming, in tandem with a lightly illustrated version of both for listening/watching on Youtube!
Anyways, a million thanks for the continued support. It's been a lot of fun being a starving artist, but I get to subsist off ramen thanks to legends like you.
Hope you had a Merry Chrysler and a Happy Hondadays. Respect if you're a Toyotathon household too. Hope the new year treats you right too.
After TWO YEARS, the sequel to The Backwater is finally out!
Check out These Other Coasts on Amazon!
(Or, as always, hit me up for a PDF. It's MY book I'll distribute it how I WANT!)
If you like colonial-era inspired low-ish fantasy with political intrigue, moral ambiguity, and a whole cast of queer characters, give it a chance.
anything you read by me just know it was written with this thing glued to my leg
