Bones cracked, fur began to sprout and claws ripped themselves from the tips of his fingers. The agony only lasted a few heartbeats-a feral scream torn from his throat that started human and then formed into a howl. He shook himself off, a dusty brown coat fully formed and the man replaced with beast. The full moon above cast a yellowish glow down on him as he put nose to the ground to catch the scent of any other wolves. None yet. Paws to the ground, he treaded through the trees as his limbs slowly became accustom to their new form. He stretched while he ran, and reveled in the freedom. His human mind was there, but taking a backseat as the animal he was had its time. The problem was that the beast had more power. It had the control and it was picking up a scent that couldn't be missed. Something like decay and rot that made his fur rise on his back. 

Ears pressed flat to his head, he faltered. Sebastian lifted his nose to smell the air. It wasn't far. The trees swayed in a cool nights breeze and a branch somewhere snapped under foot. A low growl rumbled from his throat as he took a more aggressive stance. The darkened path of dirt, rock, and knotted tree roots filled with the outline of a person. No, not a person. A dead thing that could walk an ruin lives. The wolf in him nearly tore him apart fighting for control. It made his insides crawl as he laid golden eyes on the thing. The vampire hesitated, a pause in his steps as he realized what was a few feet away. He was slow and cautious, hands raised in preparation to back away. Sebastian growled again, this time louder and more forewarning. More so a warning of something to come. 

He wanted to tear the thing limb from limb. Break it down till it was the corpse it should have been, and then he would proudly take something back like a trophy to bury in the best spot. A sense of pride for any wolf bringing back the pack something to say 'look what I did, aren't you proud?'

The vampire took a single step back. A movement not missed, and one that had him lurching forward. It was one moment of time, a single footstep flipping his trigger. The wolf had Sebastian's humanity in its claws, digging in deep and forcing away human morals and compassion. The wolf landed on top of the man, claws sinking fast into his shoulder's and pinning him there with his weight and malice. Sebastian's jaws snapped, warning as the man tried to hold up his arms in defense and yelled. No use though. His teeth found the man's throat, biting down and thrashing with him between his jaws. The copper taste of blood filled the wolf's mouth in the most satisfying of ways. He shook him this way and that like a chew toy until the thing stilled. Even then he made sure the head did not remain attached in order to give the corpse it's true and final death..

Tossing back his head, Sebastian howled in victory. Stamping the dirt, he turned away and kicked some dirt at the body that lay behind him. The control had been unwillingly given, but the human side of him was already squirming in discomfort. He didn't outright murder anyone. Not even a vampire, but the animal had demanded for otherwise. He had yet to get a good grasp on it, and he hadn't expected anyone to be out this late. Not even one of them. Sebastian shifted back hours later, blood matted in fur that was now stained on his chest and had dribbled from his chin. He spat on the ground as if trying to erase the taste as he found the stash of hidden cloths. 

Once dressed, he still felt like his skin was crawling. The wolf hadn't settled even now, and Sebastian had to pause; palms flat against a tree and head pressed to the bark as sweat broke out across his forehead. Even breaths. In and out. His racing heart beginning to slow and the wolf relinquishing its hold. He stole a glance in the direction that the body laid, wondering who or when it would be found mangled and desiccated. He grimaced, slipping on socks and shoes with no mind to tie the laces.

He quietly walked back to the cabin he rented for that weekend. The little rusted red cabin with its squeaky front door invited him in and reassured him he was in fact human again. He scrubbed his face, and let the hot water scold his skin until it all ran out. In the safety of his own bed, he curled up with his thoughts to keep him company. Shaky fingers searched for his phone discarded on an end table and lazily put it beside himself on an itchy quilt. One text to Tori, a simple message that spoke volumes. His body twitching with sobs that were enough to make his already sore body ache more. Ribs and lungs pressed from the sheer violent nature of it as he was barely able to type on the phones small keyboard.
