being completely immersed in your drama, you don’t hear the soft knock on your bedroom door. it’s only when taehyun’s head passes through it that you look up from the screen.

closing your laptop, you wave him to enter. “what’s up?”

he subtly shows his arm before walking to you. you’re seating on your desk chair.

“what happened?” you’re worried, taehyun can tell, so he smiles.

“well —you’re gonna laugh—, i was at soobin’s with the boys, right? and we played in the pool. you know, the one that’s above ground?” your unamused gaze is enough to make him get to the point. “…we thought it was a good idea to throw ourselves in the pool from the ladder.”

you sigh, not surprised one bit. the stupid ideas are recurrent with taehyun and his friends.

“please, tell me when i’m supposed to laugh,” you say with your best fakely-annoyed voice.

you take a black marker from your pencil case on the desk and write L O S E R on his plaster. taehyun protests but lets you do it anyway, knowing it’s true this time around.

“how do you feel?”

“i’m okay, it doesn’t hurt that much.”

“you see me delighted,” you smile, taking a red marker this time. you form a V on the S, which now makes L O V E R, then get up to kiss his cheek.

“can you do that again?” he asks sheepishly, slightly tugging on your shirt.

you can’t help the wide smile from showing up as you kiss his cheek again, then forehead and lips. “we’ve been dating for months now, tae.”

“i know, right? i’m so lucky,” taehyun chimes, taking you in his one usable arm.

you put your arms around his neck and peck his lips again. “i would like to agree, but then i get a glimpse of your arm and, well, is that really luck?”
