You slowly stood up with growl ripping through your throat, before Derek started to sprint in the direction to high school. 

You let out a loud roar to let the alert other rapid betas. You found prey to hunt. 

He soon heard the other three roars in the distance and hearing heavy footsteps in the distance heading his direction. 

The realization hits him. 

You were acting the alpha of the three rapid betas, which means they would follow the directions of their alpha.

“I can’t stop thinking about you… I can’t.” ft Derek Hale

You and Derek dated secretly for a little over five months. You thought things were going well when Derek walked up to you two days ago. You thought he was finally okay with telling the pack. You were, of course, wrong. He grabbed you by the arm during the middle of a pack meeting and pulled you into his study, slamming the door behind him. He kept pacing back and forth, eyes never meeting yours as he slowly explained to you that he no longer wanted to date you. He wanted nothing to do with you, personally or professionally. His outburst surprised you, but you walked out with your head held high. The rest of the pack didn’t know what was going on or why you wouldn’t show up to the meetings, but you managed to give them viable excuse after viable excuse.

Today is probably the most annoying day of all after your fall out with Derek. Today is Valentine’s day, a national holiday to remind you of both your loneliness and your rotten luck. The rest of the pack had gone out on a couple’s dinner sort of thing, and Lydia made a point to invite you every day, but you couldn’t go. Not because of Derek’s sorry ass but because you didn’t wanna be the seventh or ninth wheel.

So instead, you’re at home. You’re dressed in a comfy crop top and baggy sweats, a bowl of ice cream in one hand and a bag of hot chips in the other. You set your snacks down on the table and before your ass can hit the sofa, you hear rapid knocking on your door.

“I’m coming! Jesus,” you grumble, walking to the door as the knocking becomes more incessant.

Your mind immediately jumps to the worst conclusion as you twist open the locks of your door. What if your friends were hurt? What if “couples dinner” was code for attack??? You quickly unlock the door only to find Derek on the other end. He looked like a complete wreck, and the terrible feeling rushed through you again.

“Derek, what is it?” You whisper, keeping yourself together as you let Derek in, closing the door behind him. He stands in the small hallway, not moving. “Derek please tell me what’s wrong? Is someone hurt? Did something happen? What--?”

“I can’t stop thinking about you… I can’t,” Derek repeats the words, almost as though apologizing to you.

“W-what?” You hesitantly place a hand on his shoulder and he looks up at you, his tired sea green eyes meeting your gentle ones.

“I’m so sorry. But I can’t stop thinking about you. I go to sleep every night, picturing you next to me. I wake up every damn morning wishing I could kiss your forehead one last time. I can’t sleep, I can’t focus, you’re clouding my every thought, Y/N,” Derek’s voice breaks as he falls to his knees in front of you.

“Derek,” you whisper, gently running your fingers through his hair as he buries his face in your stomach.

“I don’t want you to get hurt, Y/N. I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt,” he wraps his arms around your legs and let’s it all out.

You lower yourself so you’re face to face with him as he tells you about a new threat, a vampire coven. The pack had never dealt with a coven before, but they’d heard rumours about how ruthless they could be. They’d take the pack’s weakest link and tear them to bits. Derek didn’t trust himself around you, he didn’t want to risk your life so he broke things off and pushed you away.

“I’m so sorry, Y/N,” Derek whispers, gently cupping your face. You lean into his touch and close your eyes.

“It’s okay, Der. I feel better now… at least it’s not my fault,” you look up and meet his loving eyes.

“Is that what you thought?” His eyes search yours before leaning forward and placing light kisses all over your face. “It’s not at all your fault. You’re perfect.”

“Well, I wouldn’t go that far, but I am pretty damn great, huh?” You smirk as Derek chuckles, shaking his head.

“You’re perfect, I swear.”

“How perfect?” You whisper, biting your lip as Derek stills in front of you, eyes landing on your lips.

Summary beforehand events;  You found out about Kate’s plan on killing the Hale Family due to bounty for their lives. The Hales are at the top of the chain of the Werewolves Mafia families. She drugged Derek on spilling his family secrets with truth and forgetful seldom. You sneaked into the Argents house when Derek was confused and doesn’t know what he did a few hours prior. You knew he was meeting up with Kate at Cafe shop. You had a gut feeling it was Kate’s doing. Soon finding out, through her journal and plan of making the fire as a tragic accident.

Young Derek Hale X Reader

You wake up with your ears ringing and flutter your eyes open slowly. You try to touch your head only to find yourself being restrained handcuffed to your cartwheel. 

“The sleeping beauty finally woke up.” 

You blink a couple times to clear your vision to see Kate spilling gasoline on you before continuing doing it to the rest of the car. 

The realization hits you like a bucket of ice water being spilled on you.

Your car was smashed into a tree due to Kate pushing your car to crash. 

Summary; Derek and his fiance get into a big argument after the battle with Gerald Argent and Jackson. She was no condition to go after Erica and Boyd. 

Author note: I am debating to do a rewrite of teen wolf for Derek Hale. The relationship of his character with his fiance throughout the show. (Only the seasons that he was in) 

“You are no condition to go after them! They decided to leave! Let them go! They make their decision! (Y/N)!” Derek yelled to only get pushed back.

“I am still kicking. I can track them down and convince them to stay. We both know they are going to get themselves killed! You pushed them away when clearly they wanted some kind of reassuring from their alpha! They are still your responsibility. They are still your betas.” You glared at him with your eyes flashing in two different colored eyes, ruby red and ocean green. 

“I can not stay quiet and stand in the sidelines knowing they are going to die out there. Derek. I didn’t step in between you and them like a good fiance. I try not getting into your pack members' business. I hope you would say something else to convince them to stay, but you didn’t.” You took deep breaths before adding. 

" I am a leader, an alpha and lastly a mother. I can introduce them to different packs that I am allied with. I am even willing to offer to join mines if they are so against seeing you as their alpha.  I see all of your betas as my own children, such as our own twin cubs.” You took hold of the strap of your backpack and twirling your body around to head out the door of the loft. 

Derek lets out a heavy sigh and his nose flaring. He wants to say something but keeps his mouth shut. 

“I should be back before dawn. The twins are at Jason’s house. I asked Scott to let Issac stay with him tonight.” You reached for the door to only closed again by him. 

You looked up to glare at his face, notice his eyes held mixture of emotions behind them. 

“And If you are not back by dawn.” 

“I am coming back, Derek. However in the worst scenario, if I do not come back in the next 48 hours.” You looked back to the metal door. 

“Look after the kids. 

I love you, sour-bear.” 

If you were not to come back, you do not want to regret having your last words to him was an argument. You rather have them be the love you’s. 

Regardless of the two of you fought, you still care and love his sour ass.

Derek opens the door to let you out, knowing he won't be able to change your mind. 

“Be careful.” He murmurs underneath his breath and turns around to not watch you walk out of the loft.

He was never a man of many words, but you knew he still loves you and wishes for you to come back alive. 

That was the last time he saw you with his leather jacket covered with his scent and hearing your combat boots steps.

Summary; Derek Hale finally getting to convince you to come to their annual family party where all of his family members attended. 

Derek Hale holding your hand to prevent you from moving away or hide behind him. 

“Is it too late for me to back out? Derek.” You glance over to him worriedly. 

You were the poor kid from the poverty side. You glance at the big mansion house looking very luxury. You were getting uncomfortable by walking by expensive cars of the year in the driveway. 

Derek stops to look at you before pecking your cheek with a kiss. “Too late. They are going to like you. Don't worry.” 

Your mind was slowly filling up with self-doubt as you were getting closer to the front door. 

You could hear the piano being played inside the home. The front door was being guarded by two muscular men in black who nodded at Derek, before opening the door for them. 

Derek took you to the mall to get something to wear for the party with brand new shoes. He paid for everything which you fought against him about it. 

An immediately young man approaches the two of you with a smirk on his face. 

“You must be (Y/N). My nephew couldn’t shut up about you.” 

You felt rush of heat come to your cheeks and feeling Derek squeeze your hand slightly. 

“Derek brought his lover finally!” 

You wanted to hide in a hole. Derek smiling at you softly and laughing at your flustered self. 

Next Part of sorts; Imagine Kate setting you on fire to prevent you from saving the Hales and conflicting her plans (Mafia AU)

Summary; Derek showing up to the school due to Scott calling him. Allision and Lydia believing they have a clue where they are at. (Season 3 Part 2)

“They’re trying to help.” Scott reasoned with to only for Derek to look at him with disbelief. 

“These two.” Derek turns his body to point each girl. 

He first points at Lydia, “This one, who used me to resurrect my psychotic uncle. Thank you.” 

He shakes his forward at Allision, “And this one who shot about 50 arrows into  (Name), me and my pack.” 

Stiles steps in trying to cool down the tension inside the room. “Okay, all right. Now, come on. No one died, all right? Look, there may have been a little maiming, okay, a little mangling, but no death. That’s what I call an important distinction.”  

Derek steps back to glare at Stiles and holds back from firing back a comment about how Allision feeds his twin cupcakes laced with wolfbanes. They almost died. 

Allision stares at him. “My mother died.”

“Your family’s little honor code killed your mother. Not me.” Derek states. 

He had to do what he had to do that night. His twins and his fiance were with Scott inside that room filled with wolfbane.

Derek spoke a few words to Allision before turning around to walk away. 

“Derek, give her a chance. Okay, they’re on our side now.” Scott says. 

Derek steps forward and whispers. “Well then maybe you should tell her what her mother was actually trying to do that night.” 

With that, Derek walks out trying to clear his mind from his memories of his only family left almost dying that night. The twins were in rougher state than Scott. Allison's mother used to the twins to kill his fiance. 

Fully knowing, a mother will do anything for their kids. 

That includes running ahead into dangerous situations.
