I'm happy that TVTattle.com is still alive and now a part of the HitFix family.
HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones series one finale just aired over in the States, and it was the proverbial cherry on top of a great series. There was heads on stakes, there were whores, there was nudity....there was even D-...actually I won't give it away.
But good news for Aussies, the show about to start here (sadly on Foxtel), and I would strongly suggest you sink your teeth into Game of Thrones, its a multi-layered story with more twists than a Romanian Gymnast. The production values are so impressive, the acting is great and it manages to be funny and riveting at the same time. Trust HBO for that.

Idle Gossip
 Good morning Upper East Siders,
This just in, the world on the street is that Mr Freckles has a secret. We hear he’s re-kindled an old relationship, with who you ask? Well we can’t say just yet, but one things for certain, this won't end well.
You know you love me
xoxo Gossip Girl
Dear Gossip Girl,
I can’t do this anymore. I need to see other shows. I cannot keep on coming back to you when you continue to insult both my intelligence and taste levels.
Eveytime I swear I’m going to walk away, I see a glimmer of what made me fall in love with you and I think we could go back to how we used to be. At the beginning of every season it seems you’ve changed, you introduce interesting new characters, include Hilary Duff,  but then after a few episodes you go back to your abusive ways: rehashing old relationships (Dan and Serena again anybody?), re-introducing old characters (side order of Georgina Sparks again or perhaps Damien?) and including events that require a leap of the imagination (why was GaGa in it again ?).
Gossip Girl, you’re an addict.
It’s not easy for me to say this; you’re addicted to recycling storylines. Don’t deny it, we both know its true:
How many times will Serena fall for an older man in an inappropriate relationship? How many times will Blair’s illogical scheming and immature behaviour blow up in her face? How many times will Little J come back to New York and have another epiphany that she is not made for this world? How many times?....
Looking at you now, you’re a shadow of your former self. I should’ve seen the signs, I should’ve known that your co-creator Josh Schwartz would do this to me again, lure me in with an excellent first season that would slowly unravel into an abysmal mess.
You had so much promise: iconic locations, great looking cast, amazing clothes, celebrity cameos, scandalous storylines and an effing good soundtrack. I ask myself: what went wrong?
You lost the plot, quite literally. You forgot your roots and turned your back on the books that you were based on. Gossip Girl herself has been reduced from a main source of narrative to a sideline character, which didn't feature in the last episode. Seduced by your ratings, you made the mistake of trying to repeat the high school antics in a college setting which just made no sense whatsoever. You left your characters to stagnate in tired and just plain silly storylines where they became a parody of themselves.
Like a stripper down a greased pole, I’ve sat back and watch your ratings slide, and now you’ve finally hit an all time low. Maybe you’ll be able to turn it around, you still are one of the best looking and sounding shows on TV. Maybe your main cast members won’t desert you at the end of this season, and maybe you won’t end up in a discount bin, but the probability of this occurring is somewhere between Jessica Simpson winning an Oscar and hell freezing over.
Goodbye Gossip Girl, I’ll always remember the good times.
You know I used to love you,
Xoxo Mister Freckles.

Yay, yay, yay! All of my favourite shows are about to start up again. I'm excited to see which new characters Toni Collette can pull from within her very talented self.
PS check in tomorrow for my feature of Showtime, the makers of USOT.
Trailer for the new season of Nurse Jackie. My new favorite word, 'cluster-fudge'. Cheers, Zoey!
Can you spot the difference? Oh yeah, this is actually entertaining.
(Glee review soon)
