After texting Travis to meet her at the nearby coffee shop, Rose made her way down to their meet-up place and grabbed them a table outside, allowing the sunlight to dance on her skin. When she saw the Lockwood, Rose waved toward him, mutely telling him to hurry up. âIt took you long enough,â she chuckled, glancing down at her cup of coffee before bring it up to her lips and taking a small sip. âSo, I legit have no idea how to go about this, but Iâm just going to spill it outâ Will you do me the honor of being my date to the Miss Mystic Falls pageant?â she asked, biting her lower lip in a weak attempt to hide her disappointment. The men she had paid to do a little performance were late. âAnd yes weâre gonna have to learn the infamous dance, which is gonna be funny because I canât dance for shit.â Suddenly, the male quartet arrived in their typical barbershop outfit. âLetâs rewind, and just listen to them, okay?â she chuckled. The men began to sing their own rendition of a typical promposal song but replacing prom with âMiss MFâ or âMiss Mystic Fallsâ. Toward the send of the song, the men grabbed the four posters that said âMiss Mystic Falls, Travis?â when combined together as one big poster. At that very moment, she got up out of her seat and sang herself. âThis pageant would only be bearable with you, so what do you say? Will you be my date to the event?â she sang and by the same she finished her few lines, Rose was on one knee with her hands in the air doing her little jazz hands thing. At that point in her life, Rose simply wanted a friend to be her date to the event rather than a date date.
