#turtle comparison notes

If you want, you can call me Neko! Major ninja turtles fan! I adore 2012 turtles, but my interests lie with all the movies and series! I’ve basically seen them all! Have watched Mutant Mayhem and both seasons of Tales! Can’t wait for more!!

My favorite turtle depends on the brothers in question, but it’s usually between Raph and Donnie! My favorite sibling bond is usually Leo&Donnie, but, again, it depends! Ask whatever you like- I love chatting turtles!

I love how the series goes from Donnie needing a map to find their way through the sewers in Season 1, Ep 14:

“Snakeweed’s Lair should be around here somewhere…”

To Donnie knowing every inch of the sewers like the back of his hand and literally leading his family through every escape hatch and to each destination in Season 4, Episode 20:

“Up ahead. It’s not far.”

“This way. Hurry!”

“This is the same station Karai held us captive. Remember? When she poisoned us.”

“I’ve got a fix on Splinter. He’s in the Under City.”

“That’s where he fought the Rat King! Come on! I know a short cut!”

While simultaneously thinking about Raph stomping out of the room only to return with popcorn and to calmly inform everyone in earshot that he has every intention of beating Leo’s high score in ping-pong before turning to walk back out.

But also flabbergasted by the fact that despite the fandom’s insistence that the bros never listen to Mikey or take him seriously when he makes a claim, not one brother in this room hesitates to take him at his word when he says that he can translate the homeless dude’s gibberish.

NOT ONE BROTHER SECOND-GUESSES THIS

Thinking about 2003 Splinter letting his kids wander the sewers alone as tots who barely know more than flip&flail.

Thinking about Splinter’s respectable parenting as he reaches for the root of the problem and takes away what causes it to blossom.

Thinking about Leo brutally shoving Donnie into the wall with no remorse and how often these kids would have concussions if not for their shells.

Thinking about the tots not even flinching upon exiting the sewers and how nothing was “oooh, ahhh” worthy because dad’s probably taken them to the surface before this.

Thinking about Leo being worried about what Splinter would think and Raph promptly breaking into a store without hesitation.

Thinking about Leo using the term “shell” which is supposed to be their form of cursing at freakin’ five years old (Or however old these teeny tots are) and none of his brothers batting an eye.

Thinking about Splinter’s turts using the term “Sensei”, “Master Splinter”, and “Father” interchangeably.

Okay fine. You got me.

But like. Think about it.

The experiment was disrupted.

Which meant that it took time to take affect.

The turts just looked like babies because turtles don’t have human growth. Splinter started human so he retained human size.

This tall rat dude went to bed that night with turtle-sized children.

And woke up to average sized turtles kids/toddlers and half his size.
