She was going to be fodder for a Dom thing, but I fell in love!

Her pinks are all so similar that to me she's an XXX!

I also have been having a weakness for Jaguar/Rosette dergs as of late!

I'm thinking she's a greeter for the clan.

When a new derg comes by she sniffs them to tell if they're good or bad and then shows them around!

Each den area has different scents to them so that the Tuns don't get lost!

Like an area with a lot of Coatls smells like fish, a derg's element also has a scent!

Earth and Nature dergs have a very earthy scent, a little more plant-like for the Nature dergs, while more soil like for the Earth dergs!

With Nature dergs can smell like any flower they choose, or perhaps any flowers they were hatched next to!

Like if a parent kept putting down Hibiscus flowers/grew them near their nests, their babies would smell like Hibiscus!

It doesn't just work with good scented flowers!

If some Nature derg put a Rotting corpse flower, or a Durian near/grew them near the nest, the hatchlings would reek of that particular flower.

Similar to the eye colors being related to which elemntal region the nest is laid in, but perhaps with exposure to particular plants, one could change their scent!

Plague dergs don't smell too good, but are not labelled as bad. Most of our clan members don't smell too bad, so our Tuns can tolerate bunking with them.

But they'd prolly smell of rotting flesh and death, but daily bathing could help alleviate some of the stench!

They probably actually like Rotting corpse flowers because it reminds them of home!

Shadow smells like playing cards and tea.

Maybe lies/secrets if such things have scents!

Arcane smells like scrolls and books, new and old, some of the more Baldwin oriented members smell like something that slithered out of the cauldron! (Especially the Bogsneak members!)

Lighting smells like burning wires and storms - you know, that scent that hangs in the air just before a storm starts, but more prevalent/constant!

Light smells like stone tablets and truth, they prolly share the scrolls and book scents with other flights!

Ice smells like cats, coffee, thick fur, maybe steel- especially from those whom have worked in the jails.

Fire smells like soot, ash, and if metal working has a scent, that, especially if they are a metallurgist- maybe steel too because of the pickaxes and mine carts/weapons!

Water probably smells salty like the ocean, or like a crystal clear lake on a sunny day, maybe like herbs from trying to contact their Dad (Ooh, name idea, Tidedad!), of hope and despair- hope of seeing him again, despair at maybe never seeing his mug again, most likely smells like fish and seaweed too!

(Though I heard Water isn't in an Ocean, it's actually one big lake, so maybe water weeds instead of seeweed??? They can still smell like fish though!)

Wind, my own flight smells like Spring and Fall simotainiously, of Corgi fur, Panda/Red Panda fur, bamboo, scrolls, and of freedom!

And any one of them can smell really bad if they eat too many White Cabbage butterflies!

So my first breeding project when I joined was entirely centered around making tuntuns that had been in a mudfight and were happy about it. 

Left is daddy, right is a daughter from the most recent hatch. If anyone ever needs a mud-covered dragon for lore reasons, message me! Both parents will have full bios as of the end of tonight (parents are a treetender and a gardener). 

These babies of course don’t sell (never expected them to), but I personally find them absolutely charming, so maybe someone else will, too. Potential hatchlings are usually iri/curr/crackle guardians or tundras in slate to purple hues with clay, driftwood, or dirt tert.
