✨ – initial thoughts / opinions
my initial thoughts on tundrakit were essentially “aww, poor little guy,” because he tends to play second / third place with his more adventurous sisters. i thought it was super neat to see that sibling dynamic being set up already for him and lilykit especially because it makes sense for it to evolve considering their familial upbringing, notably with how caroline treats them. it just...feels realistic, you know? there’s no forced conflict.
🌸 – favorite relationship dynamics
mentioning them again, but i really like the way he and lilykit are already developing. it’s not a positive relationship, but that’s what makes it my favorite...it’s obviously going to end up shaping both of them into the cats they grow up to be and i like the direction that it’s leading tundrakit in especially as i feel he’s really gonna have to overcome the sort of conditioning he’s been through already at such a young age.
🌈 – something i want to happen in their character arc
i want him to end up loving being an apprentice...and hate that he loves it because of how horribly guilty it makes him feel with regards to what his mother has instilled in him. like, once he actually gets some semblance of freedom from his mother and sisters, i feel like tundrakit will genuinely enjoy his time training as a jaggedclan apprentice, but he won’t be able to admit that to himself, and it’d be neat to see him self sabotage a bit in that regard by refusing to be the talented apprentice that he knows he’s capable of being.
