"Best stuff first" is the evil thing that makes ur following tab out of chronological order, catching up to yesterday is a useful mental checkpoint to swap tasks. the For You tab is unaffected by this change
"Endless scrolling" is a feature that makes it hard to stop as well, having to click "next" every dozen or so posts is another useful checkpoint
