ciRCLE skirts
CIRCULAR TOOL (NOT THE CIRCLE, its the Macaroni!):
-SEW LENGTH (waist)
-OUTSIDE LENGTH: ignore
-WIDTH: CB SEAM (how long the skirt will be)
OPENING ANGLE (volume)= 90, 180, 270, 360
CREATE YOKE: select inner waist circle, SEGMENT >CREATE Parallel, in create parallel decide size with DISTANCE. then CUT ALONG INTERNAL (scissors)
To create bands of other fabrics at hem, you can take the diameter of the made skirt and use that as the OUTSIDE LENGTH for a new CIRCULAR
SLITS: Select home line for slit, create a point, INTERNALS > SLIT CONTOUR SEGMENT > 1 slit per point, choose length. More can be made if the whole line is selected.
L2: Seam adjustments, Buttons,
TUKA is a point based system. TO do anything you are working with points
2 types: Segment (straight line), contour (curved line)
INFO=double click on point, must be a stitch line point, not S.A. point
4 types of points: Graded points (grading assigned to point, computer knows how much to grade each size) > curve, non-curve
---> XY Axis rationale, Graded/Ungraded, Curved/Non-curved
*must be able to determine what the points are
DRAFT+SHIFT+V/H= straight vertical or horizontal lines
Internal lines: any inside piece (IE grainline, stitch lines, darts)
If you have 3 points, you can have a piece (closed piece). <3 = an internal.
-----> closed piece vs. internal line
Set seam allowance: SEAM > GLOBAL SEAM > set seam allowance
How to set seam allowance on only certain lines: SEAM TOOL (sewing machine), then select the line clockwise, then set S.A. to desired length
Fixing grainline on a piece: R click > ROTATE > Piece over Grainline > ROTATE CW
Typing extra info on piece: TEXT tool (looks like an A with a smaller upper case L? I? next to it
----> move selected text with right click?
bUTTONS: Click button tool, click area. determine where to rest depending on XY axis
Multi buttons: MULTI BUTTONS, clock on first point (can decide where they shall rest), then last point, then amount of buttons.

Pockets
Pockets are done with the SQUARE tool
Add a point on the bottom, then use MOVE POINT to create the angle at the bottom
Use the EXTEND PARALELL tool to extend the pocket to create facing fold
Add notches with the NOTCH tool to signify where pocket folds
DRAW tool can be used straight or curved (holding SHIFT) to create top stitching design
Segments can be extended in length or reduced with MOVE POINTS tool, good for pockets with non parallel side style lines
CURVE POINTS tool can be used to make points rounded
SHapes can be copied with TRACE tool for flaps or separate pieces.
JOIN tool can attach shapes to each other.
