#storytime ••• I used to go up to Clark Dye Hardware in Santa Ana with my dad. I recall the last brand new Skil 100 he purchased there. I couldn’t believe it. He promptly tweaked the depth adjustment clicker out of operation and took the Dremel tool to the depth adjuster slot in order to increase the cutting depth. Brand new tool worked over to fit his needs. He’d also bring this old Milwaukee polisher up there and try on all the Norton Abrasives/Behr-Manning soft pads they had in stock. We’d leave with the truest pad. Today I use the @flexpadsandingproducts blue pad with a piece of 36 grit sandpaper on it. Hand cut to size and the outer edge of the paper dulled a bit on the concrete slab outside my shaping room. Speed dialed in with my volt slider... tweaked just right to suit my needs. #tuesdaystool (at Capistrano Beach, California)
