pt1: Esther
she/her (closeted genderfluid lmao)
Esther lived a long time after the revolution,almost seeing the Civil War
She died doing what she loved, tuberculosis
as for the "these fuckers again?" I'm not sure if she'd actually behave like this considering she missed them after the revolution (and their deaths) (its a: the people you thought you hated are the ones you miss; apart from some she genuinely hates)
During the first half of Esme's life Esther was pretty latent spectating her and not acting, pretty much non existent, until Esme moved where Esther saw her old coworkers/comrades for the first time in centuries. She started to get more active at this point and trying to get to know Esme(one problem: Esther's not good with kids and prone to lashing out and possession {after knowing she can do that})
She also has sight out of both eyes again due to that sense "dying" while still being physically there or something like that and now that they're both dead it works again idk how to explain it

Esme originally lived in a different town until she moved to the town where the reincarnations live.
as for the eye patch I wanted to make her only have sight out of one eye to match Esther when she were alive. My idea for how she lost vision in that eye is likely going to be her immune system discovering it. Esme also suffers from some kind of medical condition (haven't decided yet, maybe seizures) where she has to have a medical aid service dog(which is a reincarnation of Esther's horse, Whiskey)
Personality wise the best way I can describe her is Wendy from Gravity Falls (while for Esther it'd be Kitty Softpaws from Puss In Boots, Esme is a lot more laid back at this age than Esther was due to Esther having experienced more trauma than her at this point {she had the burn scars at Esme's age if that tells you anything})
Some other notes:
-Don't be fooled by the "This is my costume" shirt, she goes apeshit for Halloween
-hockey player
-Whistle can see the ghosts around him at all times(if the lore works like that)
-(taxidermy tw)her family often goes(or went depending on the setting) deer hunting, and you can find multiple deer heads in her family's home
-often plays Assassin's Creed III feeling some sort of "connection" to it
