A nest of Korean Tteokcha 떡차 🍵🌳 • Tteokcha is a Korean tea that is steamed and compressed. This one here was shaped into a ball, so it looks a bit like a nest when broken up! 🧺🕊 • Being a fan of both puerhs and (more recently) Korean black tea, I was so excited to try this new tea. It had the creamy, soy and cinnamon notes of Balhyocha, yet this wonderful fruity note (peach?apricot?plum?). Such an easy drinker, and such a treat! ✨🌱 • Following the wise words of @tearepertoire and Lu Yu, I brewed this Korean tea with low mineral Korean water. This probably contributed to the smooth texture and bright notes 💧 • Thank you so much @tearepertoire for continuing to teach me about Korean tea and sharing your tea brewing tips.
