Oh yes, the god old TTAW. The thing I’m not proud of.

It has been a long time since I wrote this. Well, the main thing about it was Myka slowly figuring out that in the future, she has a family with HG. While in her own time, she can’t even figure out if Helena will ever come back to the Warehouse or to her.

So, here’s she’s standing, in the kitchen. Watching future!HG cooking, which looks absolutely strange to her. Nobody really wants to tell her what’s going on in the future, since she shouldn’t know anything about it. She knows that this daughter upstairs is hers. Sarah is hers. And of course she’s asking herself with whom she has this child. The fact that she has a child is probably a thing she doesn’t understand. At least she wants to know who shares this part of her life with her. She’s still standing next to Helena, and secretly, she hopes it’s her. She is glad to know that Helena is part of the Warehouse family again. She’s conflicted about having a child with her, maybe she even thinks about Helena’s past and Christina and asks herself if it could be her she has a child with. How Helena would ever be ready for Sarah. She doesn’t really want to ask. It could hurt. It could be that Helena is maybe part of the Warehouse’s future, but not of hers. So she struggles asking. But she has already witnessed Helena talking to Claudia about Sarah and it sounded like she was involved in Sarah a lot. But Myka cannot be sure. So she doesn’t ask. When Helena asks her if she’s alright, Myka asks about the cooking instead of the C H I L D. It’s the less complicated question.

Helena is probably hoping that Myka doesn’t start asking questions. Because she wouldn’t be able to hold herself back answering them. Because Myka is her WIFE in the future. And this future is okay so better not mess it up. This isn’t her Myka. Better not tell her anything. But HG is not sure what would happen if Myka’d ask. So she’s probably cutting those tomatoes excessively to keep herself busy.

Also one of the things about this scene is the paintings. Apparently, Sarah likes to draw and it looks really normal for a child her age. Myka can conclude from this that the girl is alright and nothing bad has happened to her. You can also assume there are stories told in these pictures. Myka hasn’t been part those stories yet. We know Helena has and of course Myka asks herself if she has. Sarah is just lying upstairs with Claudia and behaves like children do. And even though Myka really isn’t much into having children, she is delighted by Sarah.

At the end of the scene, Sarah has a little accident and starts crying. While Myka pondered Sarah’s and Helena’s relationship for the whole scene, she finally knows by just looking into the Victorian’s eyes. Helena is holding Sarah and looks at Myka. And Myka finally has an answer to her question.

Yeah, certain words… we know my English sucked a lot back then and mostly, I was just translating German sentences I had in my head. (This has changed, I’m actually able to think in English now. :D) But of course I put the cheesy ‘Endless wonder’ line in it. Because cheesy MaLu is cheesy.

In context of the whole series it’s probably the scene where Myka starts… yeah… falling in love with Sarah? We know the thought of children doesn’t tempt her but Sarah

a) means that everything turned out well

b) has her own personality and is a lovely child.

So, from this point on, Myka wants to make sure Sarah is alright. That’s also why she had the ‘Sarah deserves to live’ line in Time Leaves Scars and why she’s mourning the future in Time Won’t Tell. She definitely isn’t ready for children, but Sarah is a person. And Myka really wants to make sure this person is alright. That’s why she’s thinking a lot about the future in the following parts of the series.

Also Helena is cooking in that scene?! What have I been thinking?! I mean, yes she did this cooking class where she met Nate. But… COOKING… HG…. that’s a picture… Oo Also later on: HG and the frying pan?! I didn’t know anything about HG when I was writing this. Don’t be mad at me. I have watched the show ONCE writing that. :D

I liked the fluff part. Please dont erase it all. We have angst in this fandom already.
