II4e1 analysis finally
Due to the length of these posts I decided to just separate the e1 and 2 analysis. Also the picture limit.
Starting off strong this first scene had me caring for the og failed debuters as well as the new ones introduced in less then a minute. Their personalities are a lot clearer and less one note to me and was generally a pretty good re/introduction. MePhone4s is being MePhone4s and we love him for it, I did get really sad as we probably wont see him and Bell for a long time if at all with them being lost in the void.
Well we were right about the play and it went about as well as I was expecting as soon as it started. Toilet has so much guilt and general emotions and it's sooo going to leak into his interactions throughout the season, can't wait to see how that plays out.
Making these two the tour guide's was probably one of the better picks then some roles assigned in the new society. Awkward but not awful.
The safety gang was pretty entertaining and OH MY GOD IS THAT METAG? I have seen MeTag for less then an episode and if anything bad happened to them I'd kill the entire cast and then myself. But like how did they get here? Did they just show up and everyone went fuck it why not?
Salt and Pepper running the hospital was not something I expected but they seem to be doing an decent job at it. Bomb's new string looks cool but um, how often if Pickle getting injured to be their 'best client?'
OH MY GOD TACO MY QUEEN SHE'S ADORABLE. I can't believe people decided she should be but into customer service of all things, a job where pretending to be nice and friendly are par for the course. And oh god things are falling apart so much it's hilarious, the newbies are already looking so sick of everything.
And final stop on the tour, I'm personally not a fan of the song. Having the season winners as leaders feels like something they would do and bless their souls they're trying their best. Their designations make reasonable sense OJ ran the hotel and had to keep order with all the other contestants, Suitcase has the compassion and keen eye for safety and Cabby has the empathy and experience being judged for Co-operation. Also Cabby has a ramp to get to her podium, love the attention to disabilities with the objects and the newbies are leaving whoop whoop.
Oh boy Fan's going through it, yeah the transition to no competition would hit him pretty hard. Lightbulb looks like a diva as always. Oh damn wait this isn't going to be a non-competition season is it? Fan does make some good point for restarting the show and they're in control of it so it could help limit the amount of trauma?
Well the reactions to a season 4 were about what I expected, more people were neutral or an board then what I thought there would be considering the event to s2. We got a 'what would MePad think?' and oh boy I can already tell Taco and Toilet are going to have some kind of beef.
Well this sure was something. My god you can see everyone get PTSD flashbacks in real time. Poppy is certainly going to be an interesting character.
Overall a decent introduction to the new season, leaves questions and sets the bar at an appropriate level for me. Not entirely sure how I feel about the new art style tho, some characters definitely had an improvement but others had a downgrade in my oponion.
