SWEETLEE’S SERPENT SHIPMAS | 04/12
Tis the season, sisters! Welcome to day six of twelve of Sweetlee’s Serpent Shipmas! We’re halfway there, and me being the trashbag that I am, I only have three drabbles posted :) yeah, I know, I’m bad for it. This event will end Christmas Day, and I will be tagging posts with #serpentshipmas if anyone wants to blacklist the tag and not see the posts.

“Vodka was a really bad idea,” Cheryl coughed, looking at the bottle in her hand with a bitter expression. It was pretty, and pink, and on any other given day she would have simply adored the label and print, but today? Today she was prisoner to Toni’s traditions - one of which included an activity that Cheryl had not been too fond of as a child.
Toni had been riding down this hill since she was seven. Normally, the boys joined her, and after finishing off a case of Bud, they’d compete in races to the bottom of the hill. Fly of makeshift ramps. Lay in the snow and stargaze. This year, however, she had been left to her own devices as Fangs and Sweet Pea had plans of their own for the holidays. Not wanting to miss a second of her favourite winter activities, she hauled her girlfriend from her four-poster bed and into the cold. “Hey, at least you’re warm.” she replied, smirk edging the corners of her lips upwards.
Cheryl smiled as she handed the bottle back to Toni, looking up at her from her seat on the crazy carpet, She looked absolutely ridiculous with the fluorescent pink snow pants and white parka, and the poms on her earmuffs were nearly the same size as her head but her face remained angelic as ever. Toni considered Cheryl to be her very own Christmas miracle. “That I am.” she nodded, focusing her attention to the slope in front of her. “I just hold these and go?”
Toni ensured one last time that Cheryl’s grip on the handles were tight, then she nodded once and stuck up her thumb, “Lookin’ good, babe. You ready?”
“Ready.” the redhead replied with absolute certainty.
Smiling, Toni gripped Cheryl’s shoulders, counted to three slowly then pushed her until her weight tipped over the edge and Cheryl was sent flying with incredible speed towards the very bottom; laughter filled the still night, and once the handmade bump halfway down had been hit, Toni watched as her body flew up into the air and landed in one of the snow banks.
The pink-haired Serpent held her breath momentarily, wondering if her girlfriend were going to be angry because of the cold, because she had hurt herself, or maybe -
“Toni!” she spots the redhead trudging back up the slope, slightly breathless, but beaming nevertheless, “That was incredible - again! Come with me this time, you can sit in my lap.”
Toni didn’t care very much that she spent the next two hours getting drunk and watching Cheryl move up and down the hill, and it seemed Cheryl didn’t care very much that her hands were frozen and lips were nearly blue. Once the bottle was empty, and they were laying on the ground looking up at the stars, Toni wrapped her hands around Cheryl’s and pressed a wet kiss to her lips.
“Thank you for doing this with me, I know the snow isn’t exactly your thing.” she whispered quietly, smiling when her hands are squeezed tightly in response.
“Of course, TT.” Cheryl mused with a wink. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
