#tt 2013

This is the bike of Isle of Man TT competitor Daniel Jansen who crashed heavily into the bales at Sarah's Cottage on the last lap of the Superstock race for 1000cc showroom spec bikes.

Sarah's Cottage is a fast uphill right hand bend with a blind, late apex and Daniel turned in a bit too early causing him to run wide on the exit.

The bike hit the bales front first shearing off the front forks and rider and bike rebounded back into the road.

I was on duty as part of the team of marshals at the corner and we and the paramedics went to his assistance.

Fortunately although he was in some pain, his injuries weren't too serious and he was fully conscious while we got him onto a stretcher and loaded onto the rescue helicopter for the short trip to hospital.He's now been discharged, still sore from a couple of bust ribs, but otherwise OK. :)

INTRODUCING: Our epic bath & bottle 'TT' burger, made using great produce from local suppliers. Burgers using the most delicious beef from Radcliffes butchers, topped with Isle of Man Creamery Manx cheddar and our own homemade Bushys BBQ sauce - getting cosy with some tomatoes, gherkins and lettuce inside a sourdough bun baked especially for us by the lovely people at Noa Bakehouse.
