“Is that your way of saying you’re gonna miss me?” Kai moved toward Maerwen and took her hand, the other coming to rest on her waist. The sun hung high in the air on a string of clouds, gulls drifting by, and the sound of waves accompanied his movements as he pulled her into a dance only meant for two. There were too many on the dock to move far, but his intent was clear: one last dance before he departed on the ship. A quick contract for some money and then back again before the month’s end. “I wouldn’t ever keep you waiting. Here.” Kai broke their short dance for only a moment to pull the bandana from his head. Short hair ruffling in the wind, he tied the cloth around her wrist. “Keep it safe for me.” He had others he could wear. 

      HE GRIMACES, as the sole thought of getting punched in the face left him in distress. “Once I got hit right in the face with a soccer ball that this guy kicked—and it was the most angering thing ever. Not the most painful, but infuriating.” He rubbed his nose, lips pursed to a single side as he tapped his right arm. “So you can punch me here instead, whatever your reason is for wanting to assault me.”

       Ardently searching for his pair of glasses, he successfully picked them up from the bottom of the table while staggering a bit to slip on the left sock. Groaning as he took a glance at the watch, his frown turned into a sulk upon the christmas-themed sweater that she was holding up before him. “I’m not wearing that.” He replied flatly, kicking through his pile of clothing as he desperately hunted for an wearable outer within the limited time given to him—excluding the tacky sweater that he thought he got rid of.

“Just steak? Just steak?” Taehyung mimicked her upset tone, his visage distorting to exaggerate her expression as he attempted a laugh out of her. Upon receiving an apathetic response, however, he jutted out his lower lip as he decided to comply with her right opinion. “Okay, okay. Steak is the best. Best ever, actually. Wow. Couldn’t get better.” He mumbled enthusiastically at his best attempt as he opened the door to the restaurant, holding it as he gestured for her to lead their way in.

Man, I can’t say no with that line you used on me. {’he crinkles his nose before returning one’s grin just slightly, one hand sliding into his pocket and the other one reaching out to the girl before him.} I’m guessing you know where we’re heading.

Go ahead and try, I ain't stoppin' ya. {'snorts a chuckle;}
