tsuji^2 dynamic is almost the same as their first day together. tsujimura complies when ayatsuji tells her to step back while he's mid roasting tanizaki (literally) and she realizes five minutes later she should probably do something about it. she doesn't retort when he threatens to tie her to a tree and instead ponders on what emergency snacks to bring. ayatsuji, wondering on how to wake her up, steps on her?? he implies he has a leash for her to wear?? in the main gaiden timeline ayatsuji asks her to wear a maid dress. he tells her to lick a leaf to search it for salt. when she faints he takes a photo of her. he lets her go through?? some sort of training??? it's never said what kind of training it was????
but also they have a weird codependency thing where they promised to be each other's partner for life ~5 hours into meeting each other. ayatsuji puts his life at risk and runs away from the mere possibility of tsujimura falling victim to his ability. tsujimura abandons morale and rules and everything she knows about her job to plea for ayatsuji's life. ayatsuji will bear any and every restriction that comes with being the government's tool so long as tsujimura's by his side.
