It was one of those missions that made you thankful that you were alive to see the next day, to experience the next laughter, to cry the next tear. Noboru and his team had made it back into the village at about two in the morning, and since Noboru was captain of said squad, it was his job to hand over the mission reports and report the loss of one of their fellow shinobi. That itself took time. It was only thirty minutes, but at that hour of the night and with his level of exhaustion, it felt like eternity. Once the advisors gave him the go ahead to leave, Noboru didn't waste a second before getting home.Home.It was the place of warm hugs and warm blankets, a crying baby and an annoying cat. But it was his place occupied with his family. All in all, it was a dream come true for Noboru.After finally getting together with Tsuchinoto, about a year or so passed before they had talked about adopting a child. Noboru was more than ready to have a child with the man of his dreams, but Tsuchi was one needing convincing. Eventually, a few months later they adopted a newborn baby from an orphanage and took her home. They had named her Yuuna, after Noboru's mother, and they instantly fell in love with her and her blonde hair and emerald green eyes. And around 2:45, the current time as Noboru entered their home, she would be woken up and fed her bottle. As the shinobi stepped inside his home, he could hear the soft whispers of his lover echoing off of the walls ever so slightly. Although he couldn't exactly hear what he was saying, it sounded gentle. Noboru dropped his bags at the door, not really caring to put them in their proper place at such an hour, and followed the sweet whisper into their daughter's nursery, where Tsuchinoto sat in their rocking chair, feeding Yuuna, singing a familiar lullaby to her.He stood in the doorway, watching peacefully the two most important people in his life, and after a few moments of silence passed, Tsuchinoto looked up from Yuuna and locked eyes with Noboru.The shinobi smiled wearily at his lover and daughter as he walked over to him and kissed him gently on the lips, silencing the song for only a moment.The two exchanged no words, letting Tsuchi's song speak for themselves.
