1-10, 15, and 20!!
this is SO LATE im sorry renee but here we go
1. do you listen to music when you write? nope. i can’t concentrate if there’s music but sometimes, very rarely, if i play instrumentals i’ve never listened to before at like 20% volume it works
2. are you a pantser or plotter? pantser lmao… i always try to plot but it usually doesn’t turn out how i’d planned so i end up improvising
3. computer or pen and paper? computer; i can’t write very well with pen and paper. typing helps me sort through my thoughts much more easily, and the whole thing being digital just erases the ‘permanence’ barrier in my head that i associate with pen and paper and striking out sentences and not having enough space to edit something and the whole thing just looking super fucking messy
4. have you ever been published, or do you want to be published? i haven’t been published but it sure would be nice! but tbh i write for the sake of writing so ehh i wouldn’t mind if i never got published
5. how much writing do you get done on an average day? nada. i don’t write frequently, only in short bursts 4-5 times a year. i used to write very often a few years ago but depression happened
6. single or multiple pov? depends on the story you’re trying to tell? with what i’m working on right now, i wouldn’t be able to get much across with just one pov, so i use third person omniscient and switch povs if i need to in a new chapter
7. standalone or series? i’ve never had an idea/story that could be conveyed through a single standalone, so series
8. oldest wip? my god don’t ask me to revisit my archives i don’t want to die of shame today… (but if i’m not wrong it was a detective series or something i tried to write when i was nine. it was super inspired by enid blyton’s stuff. also i love how this question says ‘oldest wip’ and not ‘oldest work’ like lmaooo none of us actually finish our work we just abandon things and move on)
9. current wip? it doesn’t have a title (actually, it doesn’t even have a body of work, just snippets written here and there and some snippets i haven’t even written, just rotting in some crevice in my head). i just have a lot of ideas i’ve been ruminating for nearly 2 years now but never got around to writing… i should start soon. but anyway these r the ocs that feature in it
10. do you set yourself deadlines? i used to when i wrote frequently but not anymore. maybe i should start again so i’ll get serious about writing again!!
15. how do you deal with writer’s block? when i used to write more, i’d read something whenever i had a block so i’d become inspired and start writing again; since now i don’t write as often i don’t Experience writer’s block if that makes sense? or tbh i just have writer’s block All The Time and for like thrice a year, i don’t, and that’s when i write
20. how many wips and story ideas do you have? i have the one original story idea from up there^ and a voltron fic my friend and i are working on. i have an incomplete kagehina fic i’ve been meaning to finish writing for ages but i’m yet to get around to it. currently nothing else though
send me a number!
