Two years ago, when I was just as addicted to obscure mythology monsters as I am today, it was a wish of mine to see some of the more obscure creatures in high numbers on the google pictures result page, then the Native American Tsemaus (both pictures) was one of the rarest creatures to find any info or pictures from, with only one black/white art picture to find on deviantart at the time. It felt like I was the only person who actually knew about this bizarre mythology monster.
Now 2 years later not only a Book of Creatures (second picture) has answered to my wish of creating a page for Tsemaus, but also wayfinder (first picture) has used it in its bestiary, it ends up on pinterest and some other pages about mythology monsters have started to use it.
It is a good start and I’m happy to see that these monsters finally start showing around on multiple occasions! Up to more pictures i’d say! Native American Mythology in general deserves some more attention!
More info on the Tsemaus (who is not in Mythika because the Ziphius kinda replaced it but which is still a symbol of mine because it was one of the first really obscure monsters I wanted to know more about) can be found here --> https://abookofcreatures.com/2015/10/16/tsemaus/
