but I wanted to ask a question about furleddusk. how is she finding motherhood? :3

Furleddusk has taken quite well to motherhood! One of the biggest reasons she wanted to take in Lightkit and Sweetkit is because she feels like she failed Gentlefern. He was young when his father died and Furleddusk shut down in her own grief and ignored him for a while. She wishes she did more for him, like how Frostspeck took in Rowanmask after her own sister died. She's grateful that Scorchglint was able to help him in ways she couldn't.

Anyway I'm going to be posting some of these mini worldbuilding comics because there are concepts that get brought up within the next few moons that become really important later on in the story.

This ask got me to think about what jobs the tsatt cast would actually have in real life (mostly because I could only imagine 1 cat working in hospitality lmao) This isn’t really a 1 to 1 of what they would do in a human au, mostly because Driftclan would be such a small and closed off community (and also tsatt really relies on these guys being cats lol) but its still fun to think about :P

Slumberpoppy - Slumberpoppy is a primary care provider. He wanted to pursue a specialty but his parents didn’t approve of him going back to school, and unfortunately he cared too much about their opinion, even now when they are dead. It’s been so long he doesn’t remember what he wanted to do. He tries not to think about it.  

Hornetpaw - Med student working under the only doctor in the area (slumber). Hornetpaw is smart enough to be more than a family doctor but she likes working with her community too much. She also likes working under Slumberpoppy because he lets her commit medical malpractice.

Garlictail - Garlictail works for the town as a forestry guy, cutting down trees 10% of the time and sitting in his truck or office the other 90%. If you ask him, he says it's his retirement job and to never grow old. 

Furleddusk - Furleddusk is a seamstress. If you're walking around the town and see someone, they’re likely wearing one of her outfits. She is VERY passionate about this and everyone is a little scared at how much she can do in such a short amount of time. She’ll always tell them not to worry though, this is what she lives for. 

Oriolequill - Oriole used to be a stay at home wife but many issues in the marriage led to them splitting up, and well her husband took everything leaving Oriole with nothing. Fortunately, she found Driftclan was able to rebuild her life. She’s now the front desk lady for the doctors office Slumberpoppy works at. He recommended her for the job. 

Frostspeck - Frostspeck is the branch manager for the local bank. She’s worked there ever since she became the primary caretaker for Rowanmask. She used to work with Snowfox, doing odd jobs around the town, but that didn’t make enough solo to support a child, no less two. 

Valleymist - Valleymist is a florist. It's something he always wanted to do, but finally can after joining Driftclan. He used to work multiple stressful jobs before to support his kids. 

Scorchglint - Scorchglint is the IT guy. He tells people to turn things off and on to fix them. He’s only entry level as of now because he just pivoted into the tech field. He wants to turn his life around with this switch. Hopefully turn it around, at least. 

Rowanmask - Rowanmask is an intern working for Frostspeck. He has the only paid internship in the company but doesn’t do any work because Frostspeck just does it for him. Nepotism pays, am I right?. Hemlock could’ve got the internship with him but in her words, “I don’t wanna do any of that boring crap”.

Gentlefern - Gentlefern is the only one who actually works in hospitality. He’s a waiter working for some busy ass restaurant where he always seems to get the busiest section. At least he makes decent tips. 

Hemlockwhisker - Hemlock works for the town but for the parks division instead. You’ll always catch her just starting her break in the forestry guys office with Garlictail (though calling it an office is giving it wayyyy too much praise). Together they form the do-nothing department.

Toadpaw - Toadpaw wants to be a cop :(  She's currently a lifeguard while she completes her studies. 

Sweetpaw - Sweetpaw is filling in as Furleddusk's assistant after Thistlepaw's death. Similarly, it’s more of a hobby for him. He eventually wants to be a graphic designer. 

Lightpaw - Honestly Lightpaws kinda lost. She doesn’t know what she wants with life. I think she would be living her best life as some sort of athlete. Which sport I cannot say (for I do not know T_T)

Thistlepaw - Thistlepaw was Furlddusks assistant before he died. It was more of a hobby. He never lived long enough to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. He would've loved being an artist though, specifically a painter. 

Wild circle of friends, or a few close ones? Who's their best friend?
