I’ve been trying to make a list of the various kinds of CC that I need to re-categorize, so I can decide where I want to put it.

Since of course the idea is to have categories that don’t have thousands of items in them and to break up the larger categories and make things easier to find, part of my plan is to relocate some of the various decor that invariably shows up in misc. decor into various room categories, and not have these items actually show up anywhere in the function catalog at all.

So, here’s the start of my listing of items and where I’m thinking about relocating them to. Function category is listed second, and in italics.

Decor Food & Dishes - Dining Room Misc. Decor - No Function Category Pillows & Blankets - Bedroom Phones - No Function Category Pokemon & other Kids Toys (Functional or not) - Nursery Toys - Kids Toys Books, Notebooks, Desk Clutter - Study Phones - No Function Category Misc. Bathroom Decor including Towels - Bathroom Accents - No Function Category

These ones I’m still considering...

So recently I’ve been frustrated with re-decorating homes... because trying to find the decor I have installed is... tedious and frustrating. There are non-plant items in plants, and I can’t remember which ones. I have hundreds of CC plants already installed too, so this doesn’t make the category easier to load up. And we all know the nightmare that is Misc. Decor in Buy Mode.

So I’m starting a project to edit the in-game categories that my cc decor will show up in. 

This project has 3 basic steps.

1. List the in-game categories for reference. 2. Decide where I want the various decor CC to show up in-game. 3. Edit the .package files accordingly.

Eventually I’ll have a category listing like the one I have for patterns to reference which types of things are placed into which in-game category, but for today, I’ve finished typing up the in-game categories for reference into both a spreadsheet and a couple of text documents.

I thought I’d share in case this listing would be useful to anyone else.
