Before his time with Keith, Koku didn’t have a permanent residence pretty much anywhere. He was always moving, staying on the streets or in abandoned structures to find quiet places to rest between each fight. With Keith it was something of a temporary stay, a small moving shack hooked to the back of a truck that stood as a temporary home on the run for a wanted man and his wounded charge. Even after everything passed and he was reunited with Yuna the shared residence with Keith was only temporary in the end too but finally stood as a place that they could all collectively call theirs. This, however, felt fundamentally different being separated from Yuna and his ‘guardian’ at a place that would be his and a stranger’s.
He hesitates briefly, hand an inch or two from the door before he knocks softly three times as a formality before he pushes the door open. The inside has more furniture than Koku had expected and looks well lived in, its different than the empty or sparse places he’s stayed before. He walks further into the apartment pulling the strap of his bag over his head about to set it on the floor when his eyes find only who he can guess is his roommate.
He softly takes a sharp inhale as he sets his bag fully on the floor, “Hello, my name is Koku. I’ll be living here starting today.”
Koku doesn’t extend a hand or bow respectfully but he does dip his head a little.
