This lure is a topwater small jerk bait for working over rivergrass beds, or to pitch between rocks or other cover to entice astrike with some topwater action. This particular River Kraken II is a micro-jerk style topwater lure, 2.5 inches, weighing in at 0.2 oz. Dual #4 hook at tail dressed out with red / silver flash streamer. Hooks facing upwards so you catch fish, and not the structure. I have two styles available, one is red/orange, the other is a red/orange with some yellow highlights for higher visibility. For just $12.00 Riverdog Lures "Jangler Perch" lure, these are based on a custom order I did for a fellow up in Manitoba. I liked the idea so much I made a couple extra. The Jangler has a 3.5 inch poplar body ,weighted to 0.7 oz. Dressed with a "Reaper" 4/0 offset circle hook, and a nickel finish spoon, hence all the jangling. Hook rides above spoon, which gives the Jangler a hitch in it's giddyap, and also slaps a bit at the hook as the bait goes through the water, to great effect. I have one of these with a plain nickel finish spoon and another with a hammered finish nickel spoon. Please refer to photos for details.
