Being a Norwegian, I think you need something from Norway ;-) I would like to recommend the psychological novel “Hunger” by Knut Hamsun (the original title is “Sult”). Personally, I find it a strange and enjoyable read. It’s a somewhat stream-of-conciousness(I don’t think I got that word right, but I’m on my phone without any spell-check to correct me…)-like story which moves smoothly and stumbly at the same time.
