Islamists have been at war with America for 213 years.
I strongly support military intervention against ISIS in Iraq. Congress should declare war against these Islamists. It's also important to consider that we've been at war with Islamists for 213 years now. Thomas Jefferson, our third president, and John Adams, our second, went to London to speak with the ambassador to Tropoli to find out why the Islamists were attacking American ships. The answer was shocking: "It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise." Now let's defeat the Islamists for good this time. Anything less than victory is absolutely unacceptable.
