Yeah I basically take one idea and just go into that allot. So the idea basically is that their human forms aren’t an illusion; they are litterally changing into that physical shape, taking the body of the human and their age-to at point- because they litterally have the body of a human- mixed with some natural troll biology thus “half-breeds” as their human shape matures so does their troll one; in alignment with the human shape they have to take for most of their lives-because it’s the same material just undergoing severe change. So they are quite literally half human half Troll. It’s not just a guise it’s their body. This also makes it so I’m not sure if or how possible it would be to even brake this bond. Just from the info given atleast I bet there is a way. But the changelings would still be half breed as their forms are still very heavily changed by the humans.

If you also notice they fight more like humans as well, now this might just be me forgetting but most Trolls usually take the hit instead of placing more emphasis on dodging; changelings don’t seem to do that- because their stone-flesh is more like that instead of living stone.

Another kinda proof about them actually changing their physical shape is Strickler going to the dentist. Why the fuck would you go to the dentist if you don’t have to; no ones is gonna be suspicious that you have great dental hygiene and don’t need to go.

And the difference between NotEnrique’s eating habits and Stricklers. NotEnrique enjoys what we interpret as Troll food because his body hasn’t matured and changed to become half-human; as opposed to Strickler who’s been like that for centuries and thus has human taste buds and finds old socks revolting.
