Looking at putting together a Demon character for an (old) World of Darkness game. I wanted specifically to avoid heavily social characters because... well, honestly I can’t pull it off, but... now I’m looking at the merits and flaws list and...

See, I’m noticing something.

Demon has A Lot of very cheap, situational “Lower the difficulty of Social rolls” merits.

A fair number of these are broad, hefty, or overlapping.

I’m pretty sure Demon predates the concept of a universal difficulty floor. None of these merits mention a floor.

I’m going to make a character who’s completely socially inept, but manages to get away with it because she’s got an angelic aura, a good ear, and simply excellent taste.
