I roll my eyes. “It’s incredible that our professors are still out of touch enough to not have AI detection spells in place. But the pink glitter and hearts over the i’s feels like a step too far in trying to make it look like it’s from you. Do you think whoever did this were amateurs?”

“Oh,” she says casually. “No, that’s definitely what my papers look like. I think it gives them a little something extra, don’t you think? But I didn't write those words. They don't even make any sense. I wrote about the ways that Pixies have been excluded from democratic representation in the Coven." She laughs at my surprised expression. "I know I’m taking risks pushing the envelope, but it's true! Just because they let Pixies in their school doesn’t mean they get to pretend we were always allowed in."
