After the assassination of the Emperor, the power vacuum was intense. With her parents in the Senate having been killed in the massacre, her house was now weak, and their servants abandoned her to take deals with the more powerful families. Moira was her way out, and taking that step gathered other lesser houses to the foreign Emperess’ side. What started as a way to avoid a gruesome fate, led to... a million wonders. It was one thing to study astonomy and look at the paintings her parents had purchased, probably stolen from a massacred caravan. To be out, to see the sky of stars, to feel wind against her face, to see colors and creatures she’s only seen served on extravagant dinner plates. Deagra found herself lost in the ecstacy of experience, and wonder, all the while maintaining the facade that she was the calculating and dependable advisor to her “Queen” now.
