Eurobike 2014: 11 gold awards, a bunch of plain vanilla awards and 1 green award
Eurobike 2014 has just closed its doors. And the jury has handed out no less than 11 gold awards, a bunch of plain vanilla awards and one green award.
Have there been remarkable innovations on show? Apparently, contrary to previous years, the jury is not only satisfied but definitely happy.

There is a couple of 'accessories' in particular that struck me and which I would buy straight away.
The first is a bicycle pump by Topeak. And, no, it's not the one that doubles as a seat post. It's called the 'Transformer X' and it doubles as a kickstand. A very simple idea that doubles as a very clever idea. ;)
The second is an 'Urban Cycling Jacket' for winter: the 'Schaap Jacket' by Triple2. The material used is called 'Techno-Wool', combining the advantages (and look) of wool with the technical characteristics and easy maintenance of synthetic fabric.
It is very stylish indeed, made of recycled material, ideal for day to day wear but very functional as a biker jacket.
The third is a pair of fenders with integrated lights. Both front and rear. They are by Curana who've built them together with Busch & Müller. Great product, but both companies' website unfortunately don't add up to very much.
I do like the Green Award very much: Sen Comfort by Velospring. Beautifully crafted wooden hand grips which help in absorbing shocks.
