almost a thousand miles, but I'm home.
and of course the one time in my life that I drive through utah it was a sunday, so no mormon treats for me :( guess I'll have to visit again!

sorry for the mileage report delay, but I've been fighting for my life to get some internet access.
successfully drove from the poconos to new jersey, but it was more like a 3 hour drive, between traffic and my failed side-quest for some dunkin. the first dunks I found had 0% parking left and no drive through; the second one was on the opposite side of the street and you couldn't make a left turn to save your life; the third one was closed for renovations so I gave up and just went to my dad's house.
visited a dear friend from high school in mass on my way up north. she took me to a fantastic pizza place. I pointed out that we were essentially doing the same thing today as we did in high school: walking back a distance most people wouldn't savor while holding leftover pizza.
drove by new york city and cried when I saw the skyline.
since arriving in southern maine, I've visited friends and family in midcoast. driving two hours north in maine is very different than driving two hours north in washington.
notable sightings: the maine state welcome sign, which read, "Welcome home" and made me tear up as I drove past.
had to stop early because of a nasty storm. only 336 miles today :/
had to stop early because I literally could not read the road signs, the sun was so bright. I had hoped to make it to Utah and do you know what.
do you see this, do you see how fucking close I was??
How I've been driving almost 12 hours and only made it 677 miles I do not know. (that's a lie it's bc the speed limit in Iowa is 65 mph >:[ )
notable sightings: a huge, rainbow tie-dye billboard that just read "be yourself!" maybe gay?

had to stop a bit early; as it turns out, night time, a downpour, and white-tailed deer don't go very well together - especially not at 70 mph. I didn't hit any, and I intend to keep it that way!
notable sightings:
1. golf cart fueling up at an interstate gas station 2. an F-150 with a riding crop where the radio antenna should be 3. approximately 500 deer peering at me from between the tree trunks in the poconos
