I am of the opinion that Cazador held parties at his manor for the patriars of Baldur's Gate. If only to maintain appearances among the nobility. He'd only invite the most deranged or ones with a particular taste in entertainment. Maybe even conduct himself to their homes.
One of the main sources of entertainment for his guests or hosts over dinner would be throwing his spawn into cages. Force them to fight one another for a fresh rat or something equally rare for them to receive. Sometimes he'd spice it up and add in a monster or two.
The audience in attendance would gamble on their favorite spawn winning. The loser of said match would be thrown into the kennels for a tenday at least. The winners only got the comfort of a fresh animal to feast on.
Of course Cazador always knew who would win. He knew his spawn better than anyone. Even would alter the odds by having Godey beat the ones he wanted to lose the evening before.

Ā Ā Ā ā Damon was told about the 'visitor' by Whitmore the day before as the good ol' doctor cut the lungs from beneath his sternum and watched him dieā repeatedly. The vampire would come in and out of consciousness to hearing about her. A nurseā assistant. He wondered how someone could go into such a profession just to torture the very beings they were meant to care for.
There had been mouthing offā as usualā Damon commenting that at least he'd have someone attractive to look at from then on.
That had earned a scalpel to his eyeballā such a favorite past time of good ol' Whitmore.
Evening came, the ration of blood having BARELY healed the bodily damage sustained the night beforeā which would start all over again soon enough. Enzo was still in the cell next doorā which meant the Doc would come for him for the second night in a row.
And his assumption wasn't wrong.
It didn't take much to get him upstairs with how weak he was from the vervain and blood loss but as soon as Damon saw that damnable operating table he couldn't suppress the urge to struggleā and like most nights Whitmore was predicting what he'd do and the syringe of vervain with its razor's kiss of a sharp needle would find itself plunged into the side of his neck.
Lights out... only to wake strapped to the gurney.
The only difference? This time Katherine was there to greet him.
ā K-Katherine? ā Damon whispered in disbeliefā as if he'd seen a ghostā his brows furrowing in pained confusion above impossibly wide eyes. ā I don't... I don't understand. What the hell is going on? ā
Pale hues slid to the doctor who was preparing some sort of colored fluid in a glass syringe with a wickedly long needle that caused the vampire to swallow thickly and the futile struggling to begin. Normally he had more composure, more defiance, but with her there... Damon fell apart emotionally and couldn't maintain the sarcastic and glib attitude he usually sportedā especially when the scalpel came into play.Ā
Relief of being rescued only to find out the person who claimed to love you clearly hated you and didnāt care at all.
No matter how much he begged... she wouldn't so much as budge to help him yet she looked on all the while. Watched. Assisted. ALLOWEDĀ Whitmore to finally silence him in such a manner that any cries or words would be as faint as the kisses of a ghost once he cut his vocal chords from his throat.
Eventually, the darkness cameā lace moth wingsā blackened with the soot of unconsciousness came to soothingly flutter against the edges of his vision and then the pain floated away as it swallowed him up.
Next thing Damon knew he was back in his cell. Enzo was goneā he could hear his screams upstairsā and Katherine was sitting in a chair outside of his cell with a clipboard in hand while he gazed out at her from where he lay on the concrete floor, betrayal, and agonyā worse than what the physical pain of Whitmore's experiments could have inflinctedā projected back at her from Damon's cerulean hues.
Why?
He couldn't say it yet, not having had the blood to heal the grievous wounds to regrow the ability to speakā but his pale eyes spoke the question just as clear as any word could have been said aloud along with the tears pooling in their depths. Why? What did I do?
It was just something simple. Why did he have to keep asking questions and talking about how Iām magically not working when I go out every night? I started blocking out everything, going back to the dishes that had been left there since this morning.Ā
I do love my daughter. Nothing he said could make it seem otherwise. Thatās what I thought until there was a loud clatter of the kitchen cabinets.Ā
He was on the floor in front of me, face red, screaming. My child had appeared, face twisted as she was staring in shock. Her little fluffball head moved quickly as she looked between her father and I. I couldnāt make out anything that passed through her tiny delicate lips. My poor terrified child. She didnāt deserve to see anything like this.
āCall the Police,ā his voice called, jolting me to stand straight as the fluffball bounced out of the room.
I couldnāt move. Everything was too fast for me. I gripped at the hanging counter and tried to plant both feet back into the world that was spinning without me.
I looked down at the man I love as he easily started to unravel my world. He had told me therapy was helping. Kelty loved my therapist. I was doing everything. I had even picked up two jobs on top of volunteering at Keltyās school. I was taking my medicine. I was doing good. I knew I was. I love my daughter. Iād do anything for her.Ā
My beautiful, confused child. There was no way I could face her now. Iām confused myself. How did this happen? I shouldnāt have left her or my room this morning. I shouldnāt have done anything, anything to avoid what was happening now. Without taking a second look at David, I grabbed a knife, wrapping it in a towel, and the car keys. I didnāt care for the size of the knife. I just wanted it with me. I needed it.Ā
I bet heās happy with himself for hurting his wife and daughter in this way. Heās lost his kindness long ago.
But Kelty. I canāt look at her even though I want to so badly. I want to hold her, let her know everything how it happened. I want her to know itās okay. But right now I need to escape by myself. I need out.Ā
She was coming back into the room when I ran out. I pushed past, ignoring her calls as she tried to catch me. It will all be fine in time, baby. Just you see.
I was out the door and in the car in an instant. Speeding out of the driveway, I didnāt care where the car took me. There was nowhere I could go for help. It was too late in the night to go to a friend, too late to go to Davidās sisterās house. I drove aimlessly.
When I stopped in front of the chained gate of the townās oldest park, I left the car behind me. I let the damp chill of the late spring air flow through me and walked right in. I made my way up the paved drive of the park, looking to the tennis courts as I walked by, and then the double swing set where Kelty and I would play. The further I walked, the more memories came. My daughter was only 5 years old, but had been able to do so much and have so much fun. If only David didnāt fight with me so much. I would keep her happy forever if I could protect her from the world. She doesnāt deserve to go through what I went through as a child. Not at all.
I look to the bundled towel gripped tightly in my hand. Iāll walk more.Ā
I keep walking until the grass leads into dirt trails. The waterfall I would take Kelty to is as quiet as always during this time of year. Soon it will be rushing with water. Kelty loves that. Sheās always loved water. My heart sinks as I keep along the trails that I walked with Kelty and Teresa with her dog Spots. Would Kelty be okay with the other women in her life? David has many sisters.
My throat hurts. My eyes burn. I keep walking. Iāll walk and walk and walk. Iāll walk these trails until Iām lost and tired. More memories of Kelty pass. Her smile is so vibrant. Sheās so warm when she asks to sleep next to me at night. Yes, Kelty deserves happiness. She deserves better.

SEND ME š° FOR A GLIMPSE AT ONE OF MY MUSEāS NIGHTMARES!
Riven walked in the courtyard of Noxus alone, the day grew to beĀ cloudy, she hopedĀ for rain. As sheĀ enteredĀ one of the hallways she stopped in her tracks, her back stiffened and her feet felt locked in place. Her heartĀ immediatelyĀ began to beat rapidly. She could hear it in her ears.
Singed stood before her. In her city, in her home. One could hardly tell if he was smiling but Riven could feel his sick expression locked onto her.
She didnāt have her blade, she needed her blade, touching him is damn near impossible. That weak looking body was just for show, he experimented on himself enough to do things superhuman.
He walked towards her, arms out wide and a welcoming manner. Riven felt sick to her stomach, she couldnāt move. NoĀ strategyĀ to get away to came to mind. AĀ deer in headlights, she felt powerless.
āMy exile, or should I say my redeemed? It has been so long, Iām glad to see you still living.ā He put a hand to his chest,Ā āReally I am.ā At this point he was standing right over her. She couldnāt do a thing, she was weak.
āI-I am not yours,ā her voice trembled out. She was trembling, she showed weakness.
āOh my sweet Riven, but you are.ā HeĀ immediatelyĀ threw his hand up and took her neck. She gasped and tried to pull his arm away put she couldnāt his was...stronger than her. She felt so weak.
He lifted her from the ground and carried her over to the wall, held her there and laughed. She tried to kick him away, but it did nothing. He continued to laugh as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a jetĀ blackĀ feather.
āI came here, my dear to do some work. Birds spread things so easily, so I struck a deal with your Grand General. He desired the power and I gave it to him,ā he looked right into her eyes.Ā āSound familiar, does it not?ā
āStop!ā Riven managed to cough out. He laughed again and shook his head.
āItās been done, dearie.ā He let the feather go and pulled out an oxygen mask connected to the container on his back.Ā āI very much would like to learn..how you survived that day, hold still.ā AndĀ withĀ hat he slowly began to put the mask onĀ her.
āAAH!ā Riven jumped from her sleep drenched in sweat. Breathing heavily she covered her eyes and breathed, breathed in fresh air.
