Okay, so it's time for me to get Toby's next 6 month of heartworm prevention. His regular vet carries proheart (injection) which is what ive been getting, heartguard, and trifexus. I wanted to try the trifexus (actually i wanted nexguard) but they're saying he needs a heartworm test to get it even though he's current? But he doesnt need to be tested for the heartguard. Which is what I'll probably get since i can't afford the office visit and everything while im out of work. But why does he need a heartworm test for the trifexus and not the heartguard???
