#trek problems

i think if i hear more about this trek whitewashing thing, i might explode and punch someone because seriously, i'm done with it, with everything about it, with people acting like omg they are so amazing because they want to support us POCs - i swear people live on selective memory and forget that Benicio Del Toro was cast first before they even went to Benedict, they offered him the role before he dropped out weeks before filming, they forget that many of the actors being considered were actually minorities, in fact of the same ethnicity as the original actor portraying Khan - so yeah, they picked Benedict, maybe because he actually beat out the other actors fair and square and they cast him for that just like they casted Benicio before him - people are so busy these days trying to be all PC and support equality that they don't even truly understand what it all means before jumping on the bandwagon acting all high moral judgment - whatever, i'm tired of all this crap, i'm a POC and i really don't need you to act all offended in my defense
