#treewhispers #'its where i connect to my emotions' good for you but then we are talking about a different thing cuz gym doesnt automatically mean that #i for example cant concentrate on my emotions in any meaningful way when i exercise cuz the exercise takes my concentration slot #and that doesnt get shit processed #it can give me a break but if youre always just taking breaks its avoidance and avoidance will not #solve shit long term #taking care of your physical health is necessary to whatever capacity you can do it!#but! gym is not a cureall. besides theres other sports. pick whatever brings you joy. gym or otherwise.#there are also people who will be the happiest when they do a lot of physical activity but thats again not the thing im talking about here #idk im tired of the gym discourse when its really just one tool among others and we need an entire toolbox actually #same as therapy like there is a time and place for therapy and it can be very useful but there are things you can do for yourself without #a therapist. like reaching out to friends or educating yourself on coping mechanisms and tools etc etc. there are times when therapy is not #realistic or helpful! and a good therapist will evaluate that with you. but therapy can also be Business. and. you know.#anyway enough w the tag essay
