Found in much of Southeast Asia, whiskered treeswifts prefer tropical or subtropical lowland, montane, or mangrove forests. They build their tiny nests out of feathers on twigs at the tops of high trees. Both sexes participate in incubating the eggs and caring for the single chick.

Crested treeswifts are found in South and Southeast Asia, preferring open woodlands in lowland areas. They build tiny nests out of feathers and tree bark held together by saliva. They are found in small groups.
