âThatâs enough of that kind of talkâ Trebor said âyou canât help who you fall in love with. We both knew the first time we got together that it was leading us to this point. Weâre soulmates and all that jazz.â
âI thought you didnât believe in that stuff.â
âI lied,â he grinned, seeing how Braylinâs eyes lit up. âI was afraid of admitting it. Running his fingers through Braylinâs somewhat greasy pink hair he continued âI really donât know what Iâd do without my hockey player.â
âI hope you never have to find out,â he said, all too aware of how close it was. They reached for each otherâs hands simultaneously, their fingers intertwining.
âDonât ever do that againâ Trebor commanded softly âI canât lose anyone else.â
