James Moriarty, before his days of academia, was known as the boxing champion of Cambridge. His skill with his fists were renowned, and he was often quoted as saying that one had to train one’s mind and body in sync. Even in his older years, he would surprise people by springing forward and delivering a crushing left cross. He only did this rarely, however, to show that he was not a man to be crossed.
