I noticed a couple of weeks ago that Monk is getting pulled from Netflix in mid January. Monk is one of those shows that I have seen a few episodes of here and there (mostly first season) and enjoyed but never got around to properly watching. So I set out to view as much of it as I could in the remaining time it is available.
The problem with getting invested in an older show on Netflix many years after it aired, especially one that you never paid much mind when it was actually in production, is that I now have Opinions™ about a contract dispute that happened 20 years ago, of which I had no knowledge at the time and which had no direct impact on my life.
But seriously, what the Hell? How do you let that woman walk out???
Sharona Fleming had co-star energy. She's fully half the reason I'm watching this show. Tony Shaloub could have taken a backseat to Bitty Schram for a couple of episodes and the show would have lost nothing.
Meanwhile, Natalie Teeger barely cuts it as a featured extra in most episodes. Maybe Traylor Howard was willing to work for less... but the show runners definitely got what they paid for.
OK, there, I said my piece into the void. I feel better. Now I'm going to skip ahead from Season 4 to Season 8 because supposedly Bitty Schram came back for one episode near the end...
I got my dream couch for free today and I just ordered a new cover for it! It is going to look like Natalie's couch but a different shade of green!
