One of the most beautiful things of traveling is to get to know people from other cultures, especially the ones who still preserve an ancient way of living. Far from urbanism, technologies, hashtags... Just enjoying the present.
Of course everybody is different and we have various ways to spend our times, but getting involved with these people once in a while really helps us to see life from other perspective and be grateful for little things.
It's amazing how they only live from tourism, that's how they get some earnings to go buy primary goods in the city. Unfortunately they just have good times in February due to the festivity, then the whole year is low season.
They had put so much effort on training about tourism, services and foreign languages too, for example, the girl in the video is 18 years-old and currently studying to become an official tour guide. ♡
One of the things they love to share the most is about the amazing way their island is built: Collecting Totora reeds and weaving their dense roots together to form a sturdy layer.
They even said goodbye to us singing a nice song 😍
