"My name is Ori and I've been homeless, couch surfing, paying for nights at motels and even working in exchange for a few days worth of a stay for 2 months now with my friend John and our two dogs. It's been impossible to hold down a job besides doordashing and Instacarting, but we are still going to interviews in hopes of something sticking. I'm back in the same abusive situation I was in when I left until the end of the month because it was the only thing we could do for our dogs while we try to work. The abuse hasn't and will not stop until I leave. I'm currently also suffering from H. Pylori, a stomach infection I've had for years now and have only recieved medication for a month ago. It requires I eat four times a day, but we're barely getting 2 meals a day each. Both of our pups, (Rico and Taz) are our respective Emotional Support Animals and it isn't doable for either to give them up. They're well fed but deserve somewhere comfortable to stay. The goal of the fund is to finally be able to have the money for a deposit and first/last months rent for an apartment the two of us could share and actually call ours."
