Your mech friends not bringing up the little things, but noticing over time
The first time one of them leaned over you to hand something to another mech, and unlike before, you didn’t instinctively flinch away at the feeling of so many tons of living metal moving over and around you
The first time one of them called your name, and you automatically looked over to them already smiling with a light in your eyes
The first time you came up to them in their alt mode and casually leaned against them, familiar and unafraid as you carried on a conversation
The first time you’d been walking together and went Oops, one second, and without even thinking about it put a hand on their leg for balance while you dug a pebble out of your shoe
The first time you climbed onto them and leaned your head against their armor with a world-weary sigh, and closed your eyes, relaxing, when they hesitantly brought up a servo to hold you close
The first time you pulled out your meds and took them in front of them
The first time you reached out and grabbed their servo, holding onto them to try and reassure them the way you would another human
The million little ways that you come to show you trust them, recognize that you’re both living beings, on a level that isn’t really even conscious for you. But they notice.

Hi Fang! (If it’s okay to call you that nickname.) I have a request for you to try out.
May I request HCs of Jazz from Transformers Generation One with a Human![Reader] [PLATONIC] [Gender Neutral] who’s actually from the future?
[Reader] is from 20XX and somehow traveled to the past, back in the 1980s. In the meantime, the accidental time traveler stayed with the Autobots until everyone can help sending them back home. While the ‘Bots work, [Reader] become friends with G1 Jazz: talking about the future and showing him different music genres from their era.
☆ Futuristic Symphony — G1 Jazz & GN Reader ☆
Genre: Fluff/Platonic || they/them pronouns for reader || No warnings needed
──────.𖥔 ݁ ˖˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ──────
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Jazz was enthralled with your tale as soon as you said it. The idea of someone from the future intrigued him greatly, and the second Wheeljack set out to find a solution, he began chatting with you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He had about a million questions about what the future was like. He wondered of earth began looking more like cybertron, if all the current predictions were accurate, and even if you knew who would eventually win the war
ᯓᡣ𐭩 After figuring out what you were and weren't aware of, he was amazed when you brought up music. He immediately had so many more questions to ask you, even offering up his own system to test music on
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He gets deep into the more futuristic jazz genres. Though he comments that he prefers the generation he was exposed to first, he's fascinated by the cultural shift in how the beats sounded
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Everything you show him of the future, he shows you for his current timelines. He essentially penguin pebbles information to you back and forth to bond with you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once it seems like you're going to be on your way home, Jazz begins listening through his current collection of earth music. Once he's done, he embeds his personal favorites onto a CD to give to you to take back with you
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He promises to you that the Jazz of your timelines is definitely gonna find you know that he knows you. Bots live for a long time yet, so he's confident he'll be able to see you again. For now, he semi-sadly gives you a sparkfelt farewell as you carry his CD in hand
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Once you're back home in your own timeline, you at first feel a little saddened by the loss of your friend. You play his CD a few times, hearing all he thought you'd be impressed by. One day, when going out and about, you're approached by a familiar large bot with a blue visor excitedly calling your name
Could you do a fem reader with TFP ratchet who’s in high school (sophomore year or freshman) and goes to a school where there’s a nursing class??
Obviously no romance, more like a friendship! I’d love to know how Ratchet would act if there was another human on the team but who was studying to be a nurse, Also if you can I’d love if you could add June in too since she’s a nurse too!
Tysm!!
YOU ARE TOO KIND OH MY GOODNESSS!! HIII!! I’m so sorry i couldn’t get to you sooner, I hope you are having a great day because this one is so much funnn!! I love platonic :3
You were a timid and cheerful freshmen that starred in the medical and scientific subjects. Curious about the newest things and willing to try new experiences knowing it could either be deathly or a cake-walk.
HEADCANONS
- The way you met Ratchet was somewhat strange. You were walking home from school and you saw an empty and vacant ambulance. This never happens and you knew this so you went to investigate. Once you hopped into the passenger seat, you looked around in curiosity, unaware of the consequences. Ratchet was having a bad day and did not want you to play with his buttons today. He drove off immediately to the base and dropped you off outside of it.
- Introducing himself as a Cybertronian was pretty hard. You were extremely afraid of him and he did not have the patience. Eventually you both got along and realised that you’ll be dealing with Transformer adventures and Medical school at once, great. Luckily you were assigned to partner up with Ratchet so at-least you guys somewhat knew each-other
- When you met everybody, Raph and June stood out.
- You and Raph were both really smart and related to one another because of both of your schedule problems. You both struggled balancing good grades and transformer duties due to them both being extremely important. You enjoyed how smart Raph was in Sciences and you both would share some new info to one another, it kinda scared Miko and she started calling it ‘Nerd Talk’.
- June was a nurse for your town and you knew her beforehand. Before you have met the crew, you went to June oftenly to ask for tips and information about the medical field. Your questions were definitely creative and it always had June thinking, this made you stand out to June so she remembered you too. Now that you two were gonna see each other more often, you can ask more questions!
- Ratchet isn’t the type to praise or compliment others directly but he knew that you knew that he was proud of you. He would listen to you cheer in happiness because you passed a class with flying colours. If he could during alt-mode, he’d just smile.
- Just like how Ratchet taught Raph, he will teach you. He has seen you exceed in the medical subjects for humans but he wanted you to push further into Cybertronian. He thought it would be pretty simple since he is a Cybertronian himself but he underestimated how annoying it would be. Learning about a whole new subject that related to engineering and Cybertronians was a bust. You had no motivation to try and it was merely too much for you to handle. Ratchet was disappointed but it was fair.
- You walked home often but every once-in-a-while Ratchet is willing to drop you off instead. This is pretty out of character for him but he thought that it would be best to get along with you and to talk to you as much as possible. Because of this, you guys got pretty close as friends. Your friends thought it was pretty cool but strange that you were being driven by an emergency vehicle and your parents always questioned themselves about Ratchet.
- You were extremely committed to your role as the doctor, always cheering the kids on when they leave for an adventure and checking on them after adventures. When June isn’t here (which is often due to her busy schedule) you replace her spot. You're still learning but this was an amazing way to get experience.
Unexpected Side Effects of Platonically Sparkbonding (as a human) with your BFF Optimus Motherfucking Prime
•I bet you thought you were just bonding with Optimus, didn’t you?
•The guy is a walking haunted house and alien holy temple of opinionated relics
•The Matrix likes to chat with (or at) him. It leaves his other Cybertronian sparkbonds alone because they are a known factor and not Primes.
•You are an unknown alien organic. You are not getting ignored by a bunch of dead Primes with too much time on their hands.
•The Matrix does not comprehend or care about human circadian rhythms. It now has a new mind to poke at. It’s easiest to communicate with you when you’re unconscious.
•You are never going to have normal dreams again.
•It’s like being a dog owner and trying to eat a snack alone it’s never happening
•Since the Prime is also tangentially connected to Primus through the Matrix, so are you
•(At least Primus is mostly minding his own business)
•(For Now)
•(Wait until Unicron finds out one of his human spawn sparkbonded a fucking Prime oh boy)
•This is fulfilling like four separate prophesies AT MINIMUM
•Hey Optimus? why do you keep dressing me in Primal red?
•Your parasympathetic nervous system and mirror neurons do not exist as 1:1 structures in Cybertronians and you just, have weird effects that Optimus’ mechanoid sparkbonds don’t get. There was no way to predict this. You just have to navigate it.
•He gets broody, you get broody. Small household appliances are adorable and make you cry
•You nearly bite one of the other humans for jamming a fork in a toaster
•You become extremely sensitive to energy fields in general. Sparkbonding-induced sensory issues be upon ye
•You catch yourself trying to harmonize with the office fridge because it sounds distressed
•Polarized sunglasses and noise canceling headphones become part of your daily outfit if they weren’t already
•You can predict lightning strikes so well due to sensing the patterns and flow of energy that it’s practically a superpower
BONUS:
You: So Megatron is your ex, huh?
Optimus: You and I are sparkbonded. Megatron is technically OUR ex.
Your mech friend picking up on it when you have nightmares. Maybe you had to haltingly explain to them just what nightmares are for humans, and why they happen. It’s my mind trying to process …things. That happened. That I…
And they might not be that familiar with humans yet but by Primus they understand everything you’re not wanting to say or can’t find the words to describe. After this many years of war, how could they not recognize what it looks like?
So they learn what you need. Maybe that’s to be woken up with a gentle touch. Maybe it’s to wake up curled in your blankets, held against the plating over their spark, safe, and protected against the world if not your own mind.
Maybe it’s just to have a bottle of water and a sympathetic audial waiting for you, if you do wanna talk about it. Or letting you go back to sleep in their alt mode, soft music playing, so you can get more rest.
Maybe it’s to pick up on when you’re feeling off afterwards and need some extra time, or an easy day to recover, so they run interference. No, I need them to help me with something, they can do that tomorrow instead.
Or when what you really need is for them to kidnap you and go off-roading, with music blasting, until you’re breathless and laughing and can let it all fade.

The mechs tend to talk to each other in their native language sometimes, and even though it’s not something you can quite parse, there’s a musical phrase that you hear often. Over time, you realize it’s a name they’ve given you. You think you’ll ask them what it means, someday, but for now, it’s just reassuring that in some way, you’ve become part of their lives as much as they’ve become part of yours.
This is a draft-thing I had saved and am tired of looking at. I don't think I like it that much, but it's kind of a fun trope. Don't consider it canon, but it's loosely related to the Visitation series where Drift and Hot Rod are your guardians. Follows Illumination.
I think what I really want to write is some kinda scifi alien abduction horror where you've been captured and released and now you're being tracked...because you're some young Cybertronian scientist's science project and their IRB sucks. X-Files-y terror and confusion for you, typical college semester for them. Neither of you have a good time.
Just so we’re clear about what you’re asking. You want me to let you put something Wheeljack made, inside my body.
You feel a little guilty badmouthing the eccentric but well-intentioned inventor. He’s not the one who came up with this scheme. The skepticism drips from your tongue as you stare down your guardians - and poor First Aid, who they’ve somehow roped into this. If you arch your eyebrows any further at the big needle-thing attached to a sealed tube that the medic is unsuccessfully trying to hide behind his back, you’re going to end up with your face stuck like that.
To his credit, Drift twitches as you point that out. He promised it would be safe, he based it off of some…similar technology we had back on Cybertron.
And what technology was that, you ask calmly. Too calmly.
It’s just the same kind of tracker the rich mechs used to put in their pet turbofoxes, Hot Rod argues, clearly missing the frantic pings Drift is firing off at him. Just updated with some human-specific extras so we can track your health. I don’t see what the big deal is! We’re your guardians now, and it’s way too easy for you to lose or break your phone, or have it taken away. It’s not a reliable method of keeping an optic on you! And you’re right, it wouldn’t be fair for you to have us hovering over you ALL the time.
So you decide to chip me like an indoor-outdoor cat, huh? You take a few deep breaths. They mean well. They do. And you’d been the one to cause a panic by forgetting that they wouldn’t remember where you were, when you said you were going for a walk with Rung.
It won’t hurt, much, First Aid pipes up, clearly on board with the general idea. He’s all big, pleading optics. And it will let us in medbay monitor you too. There are so many things that can go wrong for humans, and you wouldn’t even be aware of it because your interoception is, ah, not…great.
The list of things that routinely horrified the mechs about your health was growing exponentially. One day Bluestreak had burst into your closet-mansion, grabbed you to his chest plates, and bawled over you having hay fever like it was the end of the world.
You can't tell if what you have is a minor cold, or the start to something very serious. And minor illnesses can become something serious! Even little headaches could be cancer, or a blood clot, or - or - First Aid has really gotten himself worked up.
You chew on your lip. Some-mech's been reading WebMD again, you need to get Ratchet to tell him to knock it off. But for the topic at hand.
What about a watch? Something I can wear. A watch or a necklace, maybe? Just not something injected under your skin.
Drift is already shaking his helm, no. Anything that can be easily detected and removed from you, is too much of a risk. An enemy could have us chasing a false location by taking an external device, while taking you further and further away.
He gives Roddy a look, and kneels down before you. We aren't trying to make you feel trapped, or invade your privacy. Far from it. But with you engaging in subterfuge for us, with your government, this may be necessary. Wasn't that a big reason you chose to do it in the first place? Because you distrust them? Why, then, should we trust them with you?
At least this way, we'd always be able to find you. And we would, Hot Rod says, his engine snarling a little, as if furious at the thought someone might even dare harm you. We will always find you, no matter what. That's what being a guardian means.
You can tell it's putting stress on them to be arguing with you over this. But that still doesn't mean you want to get tagged.
How would you feel if you had a way to being tracked? you ask, a little sharply. Trying to get them to see it your way. If there was always a way someone could find you? Could see your vitals?
All three of them reset their optics at you in confusion.
Er, there is, First Aid softly explains. You frown at him, but Hot Rod and Drift are nodding along.
That's built-in to our systems already, for communication purposes. If it wasn't, we'd have added it to ourselves for the same reason we want to add it for you. Drift is trying to be very, very reasonable.
Oh. You hadn't expected that. I...guess privacy is a little different for you and for us.
So? Are you gonna let us? Roddy asks, hopefully, his doorwings twitching. He's eager to be done with this so he can get back to the fun parts of being a guardian.
You breathe a long sigh. Now that they've pointed it out, you can easily imagine a situation where the Men in Black yoink you into a white van and whisk you away. They'd demand you spill the beans on your friends, while tied to a chair in some dark, hidden basement. You might never come out of it again.
You can also easily imagine the shitstorm that would happen if your protective guardians - let alone the other mechs, or, Primus - Rung - decided to take offense at you being treated that way.
You don't trust your government, and you don't think Rung would hurt anyone, but. Look at who you're surrounded by. Space robot god. Hot-headed speedster. Mech with a sense of honor as sharp as his swords. And Optimus. Optimus who's trying to thread the needle of cooperating with the organics who both need his help, and resent his presence. While fighting a war and trying to protect what's left of his people.
What would they do to protect you from your own species?
This is about so much more than just you. And if you're really going to be an ally to your friends, you're going to have to start thinking about consequences on a larger scale.
I'll...consider it, you say reluctantly. No promises.
