Okay, ik I've made a few "haha hehe trans fem lloyd agenda posts". And yes, I'm 100% serious about them, but Lloyd is like....a nearly perfect trans analogy?
Obviously I don't think that was the writer's intention at all. But think about it-
His childhood body was stripped from him, instantly throwing him into a new one he did not recognize. His future plans are already laid out and chosen for him (the chosen ones always a boy, huh? π€) He's being told from every which way who he has to be and what he has to do. That he NEEDS to be a sensei like his father and uncle before him. He doesn't even get a second to BREATH. To think for a SECOND about who he is and what he wants. Even his favorite color got picked for him lmao.
Sounds kinda familiar huh? Kinda like the gender roles that are forced onto us as children?

Speaking of the Oni form. Oh boy the Oni form. Just another reminder of how little agency he has, even over his own body. Lloyd wanted NOTHING to do with being Oni. He was FORCED to transform into it. Both because of pressure, and because of his anger. An anger that makes you wonder deep down if that is who you really are?
Huh, I wonder what other experience can make you feel like you have no control over your own body and that you are transforming into something unrecognizable? And the pressure and anger that can come from that experience?
Obviously there are other ways to interpret Lloyd's story. Such as it being a metaphor for having to leave your childhood behind and grow up too fast. But as someone who's on the trans spectrum (gender fluid bby βοΈ) I heavily relate to a lot of what Lloyd goes through and how that can relate to trans identity.
Also if Lloyd was trans she'd totally be butch.
I love Lloydβs old voice actress, like yes Lloyd got aged up to a teen but heβs still got that baby voice and it honestly just adds to my personal favourite headcanon of trans Lloyd
Baby dragons have a teething phase where they nibble/bite/nom everything that moves and since Lloyd had his Oni and Dragon heritage delayed/repressed he didn't get that phase when he was younger so once he gets his dragon form he just starts nibbling all over Eve, mostly their ears when their in their Oni form. The first time this happened all the other ninjas were there [+ Lloyd's parents] So suddenly Eve's got both a bunch of people snickering/giggling/laughing at them and their boyfriend nibbling on their ear with the loudest and most content dragon purr ever admitting from his vocal cords. They, of course, didn't stop him but it was a bit odd for Eve. not really awkward or embarrassing but just kinda odd so they didn't do anything about it.

I've seen trans Lloyd Garmadon and I always wondered just how would he get the idea of his name since it's, well, a pun. Maybe if it was thought while in s1 it would make sense because of his admiration for his dad but after that I'm not so sure, so.. This is how I think it could go sometime post season 2:
(Closeted Lloyd and Sensei Garmadon just chilling)
L: Uh, dad
G: Yes, daughter?
Lloyd, about to come out: Mom told me there was a gender mistake in her pregnancy, is that true?
G: Oh yes, I remember when your mother and I thought you would be a boy. I must admit, at the time I was a little ecstatic to get to name you.
(Lloyd stares with interest)
G: But now? Now I am glad I did not.
L: Why? What did you want to name me?
G: ...
G: I doubt you would like to-
L: I do! Cmon, tell me please! Now I gotta know!
(Garmadon sighs)
G: "Lloyd", I wanted to name you "Lloyd"
L, trying out the name: Lloyd... Lloyd Garmadon... Lloyd- (realization)
G: ...
L: ...
G: ...
L, now cracking up: I-is that a-
G, dying inside: Yes.
And so, Lloyd got a good laugh (and a new name) that day.
