She’s not going to quite understand it at first. She understands the basics of it- you’re a dude, you’ve always been a dude, it’s just taken you a while to fully come to terms with it.

she just has so many questions! before you, she probably didn’t have very many experiences with the LGBTQ+ community, so she has always been a little lost on such matters.

you try your best to explain everything to her!!

she appreciates all your efforts to do so- she just wants to make sure you feel good!! she will feel awful every time she accidentally uses your deadname or wrong pronouns, but she keeps trying for you!!

you of course appreciate that she’s put this much effort into making you feel comfortable as yourself- you were a little worried about coming out. but the truth is, Amanda doesn’t mind- it’s more of your personality that drew her to you in the first place.

you’re both constantly reminding each other that you need to take your binder off(if you wear one!). you know it’s not safe and can be detrimental to your body...but when you take it off you have to deal with all that. 

Amanda is no stranger to self-harm though! and you’ve helped her with that(and continue to do so), so she can help you with this! 

for HRT, if you do the shots method:

i am sorry to say- but you are on your own for this.

for obvious reasons...Amanda doesn’t feel comfortable around needles, it brings up a lot of uncomfy thoughts about her past.

you understand though, and do it yourself. once you’ve put everything away- she helps patch up. 

the first time you do it, afterwards- you give her a sweet, small kiss on top her head, and thank her for being so patient, and kind enough to wait outside of the room for you.  

if you do patches or something similar:

on days that you feel bad because you’ve been on T how long and you still look like this??! she will be very cuddle orientated, and give you plenty of feel-good, affirmations.

“You look so handsome!” “You’re the best boyfriend.” and the compliments go on!

You burst out laughing, sharing smiles with you’re girlfriend, “Okay, okay, Amanda! I get it- I get it!” 

other little tid bits!! 

very protective of you out in public!! you, of course, can handle your own battles...but she is not standing around while some transphobic asshole invalidates you.

if you decide to get top surgery/any surgeries:

she’ll be there with you every step of the way!

if you decide against/can’t get any surgeries (which BTW, is valid as hell!):
