not an unpopular opinion sorry can u tell us about your dnd campaign though
in extremely broad strokes, it's a homebrew campaign that started as a oneshot. said oneshot starred 3 cursed PCs: a dragonborn named lace (that's me!!), cursed with immortality; an ox shifter named kix, bearing a family curse; a satyr named named ever, cursed with... well, it's complicated. the 3 of them meet on a strange, strange train up to a moonlit castle in the north, where legend has it any wish can be granted.
this... has mixed results. ever loses their heart; kix loses his bard status; lace loses their head (literally) (it comes back!). but they ultimately realize they're 3 pieces of something much bigger: a circle of 12 that can, ambiguously, help hold everything together.
which is good. because there's a crack in the world. and it's growing.
so now they're traveling the world in hopes of... well, a lot of things. in hopes of learning more; in hopes of finding the others; in hopes of convincing those others to ally with them. lots about the moon and the eastern zodiac (they're the dragon, ox, and goat, respectively, lol). lots about cycles and eternity and the ups and downs of things that don't end. it's very roleplay-heavy and story-forward and very, very fun >:)
